  1. So as the title sugests i am looking for some software that allows me to create images particularly mock ups of watches, for example i want to place an image over the dial of another watch, i have been trying for a while and i know i could do it before but i think that may have been in word???? Bu now when i tray with all the programs i have i only seam able to have square images and when i overlay them i have the white back ground square there all the time I assume photo shop would be the main candidate, is there any better or easier? and what version? it is about time i got some proper software to do images so what is ideal Oh and not to memory intensive, Slow computer, older versions any one?
  2. Thanks for the update, I hope that the recovery continues well
  3. Reg great bit of kit for the price, you just need a quiet room, and get a bit of experience. All the people i have made and worked on watches for are all happy, one particular friend is very fastidious, He only wears his watch in the evenings(he is a drainage technician) you know the sort of drainage i am talking about! so he tells me he winds his watch every morning and it sits all day next to his radio controlled alarm clock he comes home from work puts the watch on, wears it all evening and then when he goes to bed he puts it back next to the clock, after about a month he complained that it had lost about 10 seconds, I was elated! I bought him a beer and educated him a little, no complaints any more just good reports I gave him the info from the old rolex paper work so that he can try and work out the positioning to get it perfect, But back to the tool its self it is very good once you learn to set the volume pick up for the right movements and cased or uncased. I have my pick up set in a bed of foam to insulate it from the desk a little, It is not a replacement for a witchi watch expert but a damn sight cheaper.
  4. I have to agree with chip slap here, I am a radiation protection supervisor in my day job with one of my many hats one, I asked this question on my course and i was informed of the same. Radium would be different, but i dont think radium was used, i would assume that this is a continuity issue.
  5. And the inside of your safe!
  6. well if you you want to give mine a try it is in the EU,
  7. DSN cases have shorter lugs than cartel cases so there is a good chance that unless the bracelet comes from DSN it wont fit, i have a stainless bracelet here that i never use but i really don't think it would fit the dsn case with out modding
  8. I would say that is a broken or bent balance staff or broken jewel
  9. But if you are asking if the movement is swiss when he says it is you will never know until it is taken apart
  10. If you Pm me your email address i will sent you the ETA teck info on the 7750, it is too big @ 7.5mb to up load to the site
  11. I think like for like would have been purely financial, the fact it was not struck me!
  12. STOP now! use the search and look for a watch smith, A7750s are difficult for good watch smiths not just the amateur with a will to learn. get a manual pam and break that first and work your way up, Let me know if you want a movement ect to start with but dont play with a7750s until you know what you are looking at.
  13. I just read this post by Collector and if it has got to the point of deciding between a great rep and an every day rep, have reps (not all but some) got to a point where they challenge the quality of gens in real terms the OP seams well informed and is asking for advice on what to buy it seams in this case although the price of the rep is cheaper that it could be a real choice rep or gen
  14. A good offer , i think if the file was made available to all we can improve a lot of ingys out there
  15. Terrible, who designed this, there is no contrast, you would have to search for the hands to tell the time. Now imagine this with the same treatment as the rolly ex 2 white with black hands and marker surrounds, a far better watch! they may as well have printed the date wheel white on white also
  16. Not had the chance to take one of these apart (yet) is it hard to remove the modual?
  17. Looks real to me, worst thing would be getting a decent date wheel, infact do PR pams have a date??
  18. But if that is what you need for a project on the bay No relations to the seller i just thought if some one is looking for one
  19. Stem extenders 0.90mm thread inside and out 50
  20. And knowing VDBs work these have vintage gen movements inside very drool worthy
  21. A very valid point, i do a lot of work with asian 6497/8s and with uniats Swiss variants, and direct from the official factory supplier the Asian works are just as good and just as well serviced as the swiss that may have sat on a shelf for a couple of years. I see no reason to look down my nose at the official Asian movements.
  22. Yes it is, in a pam auto with the chrono parts removed
