  1. The horse is well dead but if we keep beating iot may may still get a MK XV!
  2. 39mm Railmaster and aqua terra get my vote, but if they had made an IWC MK XVI it may be another story
  3. I am a soldier and belive me i have put some reps throught their paces and they hold up just as well as gens! Ok the ar may get scratched and you get the odd ding but you get the same on a gen.
  4. I am not put off at all by them. At least it will be an honest sale!
  5. Hi Don I would recomwent the following IWC, Ingy, 3717, slevin Brietling SOSF, Blackbird, best version BCE and Super avenger Omega Railmaster 39mm Panerai 111h Particuarly the IWC as many dont know the brand, and those that do dont expect a rep!
  6. I dont think the auction finished, i think it was removed.
  7. But a puppy gets shot! Dont do it man, just dont!
  8. Even the gen is only rater resistant to 3 atm, wichy means spalashes and hand washing, maybe a gentle swim, i would not swim or get wet with this rep unless you have had it seriosly checked!
  9. Got one now thanks to Chris @ eurotimes
  10. Dito above, the asian eta clone is not a bad movement and if you do have a problem a service will more than likely solve the problem and even the swiss eta could do with a service as there is just as little QC with the eta in a rep.
  11. Sorry i cant answer your question but i can welcome you to RWG! Welcome
  12. A nice looking watch but there are small issues, one being the case size, it should be larger than the standard ingy butr i belive it is the same so a mm os soo too small, the dial has a couple of differences too. I think on the whole a nice watch but not what you could ever say 1-1 or 99% like the SS ingy.
  13. Hello and welcome to RWG the best horological site

Points to look at on and ingy Short hands (but there are a few gen hands out there with short hands as well) Date font (even lello date wheels are not perfect as the print is slightly raised where the gen are flat) Date font surround on a gen the I's end and bang on the start of the tapered recess to the date. Date window recess is deaper on the gen Crown, the end of the crown is polished on the gen on the rep only the raised lettering is polished The gen case back is thicker and the CO is with a capital O not Co as in the rep 12 and 6 on the dial are slightly thicker on the gen and the chapter ring printing slightly bolder 60, 15, 30 and 45 are lumed on the gen and the lume is stronger on the gen the raised oblong links in the bracelet are taller on the gen the clasp on the rep has pearlage gen not and the gen one is far better and does not break the ends of the bracelet link pins are machine turned and flat but on the rep they are a bit rounded and un-finished Gen costs 5k rep costs 300 now looking at the list above you would say "wow what a shit rep" but when you have both in your hand you would not pay the gen price when you compare it to the rep, It is such a good replication that it even feels the same as the gen! Thgis is an extarawdenary (how ever you spell it) watch for $300 you would not this quality in the gen market for less then 1k, where whould you get ETA 2824, saphire, ar coating, wonderfull machining, great style, fantastic bracelet inthe new high street gen market? Oris? maybe, Longines? ok but this is $300!
  15. Looks just like the one in my railmaster with the same finish, it is realy nice, if only i could be sure of getting that movement though??????
