Some times it is just the luck of the draw. I have had reps that have been faultless for years others have been problematic
The good thing is most can be repaired
On the WR test I would recommend getting it done locally rather than by the dealer
Where are you in the world and then we could recommend some one who could help with the repairs and also a WR test
Welcome to RWG
it is a DG based faux chrono, you should be able to get it from cousins UK the question is which one is it, their web page is a pain to navigate, another consideration is that the movement will be more than likely modded to fit that watch due to the hand heights and the different heights required on the sub seconds for the disks instead of hands
it would not even supprise me if they are not all gen parts when you look at the quality of rep parts these days
what would stop them reprinting a rep dial and putting it in the modded gen and selling the gen dial on on ebay, or is it just my sneaky mind?
well if they can do that they can do a polaris!!!!!!!! it would be hand wind unlike the original auto I would buy it!!!

now dont complain about DWO alignment
Looks like an mbw1665 case back with the shallow engravings
The crown position looks nice and high.
Look holes look a bit tiny but I you could take a pic in focus it would be better
I will look more later as I am on my phone right now
for a 1680 i dont think there is a better dial than a white MBW dial,
for a red then a yuki mabe is the best but i think and expert will spot it as if they are an expert then they will know the red sub
Isopropyl alcohol is the pescribed suff here, put all the parts in a small jar filled with Isopropyl alcohol set that in the ultra sound filled with water, and turn it on for 30 min (never put a balance and assembly in an ultra sound or a main spring and barrel) apart from that you are good to go
leave it dry and cleen, if you get it working then you obviosly have what it takes then it would be worth investing in a cleaner and some propper oils and leaning more
The hot glue fix is just for a the pin to lever tolereance, what you are describing is the lever not exerting enough force on the crown, in this case removing some metal from the feet of the crown guard feet where they join to the case is the solution.
