  1. All those straps i pictured looked just like the one you show above before a bit of bleach and a scrub. I tried soaking one in jack daniels to die it but got impatient so i drank it after half an hour, but the strap smelled great. Giv it a try just waer some rubber gloves or you might ruin your nails

  6. You know the strange thing about this forum is we have members who spend a lot of time here and have hundreds and in some cases thousands of posts who were not VIP members and when asked before to donate or upgrade never did. people if you are not helping the comunity you are a burden to the comunity. These things only works when we all pull together! Admin mods please edit if worded too strongly.
  7. Most may not like the standard straps that come with rep pam but in the photos below are my 3, not included is the wifes 217, all on the issure rep straps.
  8. You will find waccex shop here my wife has a 217 on an orange Bob ans loves it as it was nice and soft from day one and very good value for money You could always strip down the strap you get with it and distress it or wax it, Just soak it in weak bleach for 10 min then scrub off with a nail brush and the horrible painted surface will come off, brush it with a fine wire brush to rough up the surface ans apply some dubbing or leather treatment and you might be surprised with teh results when dry!
  9. I will let you know what it is made of, brass would be good easyer to file, then re chrome, aHa
  10. Im IN, come on guys and girls show your support!

  13. When i have lumed hands with ready set glow i always have a lot of exces to remove to get them looking good, i use a make up sponge qtip type thing and nail polish remover the remove the excess.
  14. Thanks Reficul, A nice honest answer, i hope you make a good deal when you trade on or sell the 217.
  15. Well it is still up there, just shows what ebay actualy care!
  16. Stole my wifes EXII today as i started teaching a new course and one of the first lesons refers to GMT time and time zones, i thought i should be wearing a fitting watch! New pic taken looking out over the garden from my office at home.
  17. I think the question was about gens and not reps, every one knows the Sub but not as many know of omega. They have great advertising but the sub is sooo well known. Just like a lot of things Every one that that rides a harley and has a patch on his back is a hells Angle the the general public!
  18. What i dont see between the rep and gen is where the other $8000 went to on the gen, Reficul, now you have a good rep would you say that you get value for money on the gen?
  19. I dont think so, omega just doesent have the recognition that rolex has.
  20. Its still there can some one else report this before some one loses a lot of money
  21. The watch should not need any modding for water resistance, especialy for normal daily use, as long as your crown still screws in and the HE valve is tight and so is the back you can almost expect it to be fine for surface swiming or a sprint in the rain. Dont take this as gospal and winge because it wasent but if you can buy a 3 atm watch with out a scewdown crown and pressed on case back for next to nothing why should the reps be that bad!
  22. My Cheep 177H from TTK survived the 3m test, 3m up and 3 m down no problems, i assumed that the bigest problem would be the temperature, it was 30 odd deg C in the sun and the water was cold!!!!, I did do a bit of work on this one though, i filed down the feet of the crown guards to get a more positive closure and waxed the leather strap to hell!
