  1. I have a 69 seamaster, and although i love the way it looks i too find it way to small @ 34mm, same as all my westend watches 34/36mm just too small!
  2. American chappers should be renamed to American welders, yes they build bikes and they do a lot of metal work, but almost every thing else is farmed out, when i build a bike the only thing i can afford to farm out is the paint and any machining as i dont have the machines. The rest i have to do my self, engine builds, electrics, brakes and all the body work i also make my self from fibre glass, Assembaling bikes with all new parts would be great but 9 times out of 10 i have to spent hours cleaning and polishing an old part to make it look good. Here is my bike it took me 18 months to get the body work right to the shape that suited me. Lots of filler, fiber glass and sanding and also what happens when spme [censored] [censored] dosent look where he is tring to park his car, we never saw who did it as he did not stay around to appologise, [censored]! Also a pic of how it looked when i got it!
  3. Is that a gen insert on the bezel it glows good!
  4. Over haulin is the best, i used to see a bit of pimp my ride and they just glossed over the car and in a lot of cases made it look [censored],they never repaired any thing. WSith over haulin they do a ground up rebuild and do it properly. Chip Foose for President, he is not a bighead show off, he gets his hands dirty and ensures that the work is quality. So if any body knows any one in TV can the Monster house team repot to my house and over haulin team to my garage, and if ziggy would like to join in the show and service all my watches i would be a very happy teaddy bear!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Now that is a good close up, the seconds hand on the PO, Victoria thats what i mean when i say mine was not so good.
  6. Well thanks Victoria but i belive that there are many better photos here than what can manage with my cell phone. I was just lucky to capture the AR and tone of the gen. It truly is a nice looking watch, my wife who normaly hates breitling even liked it!
  7. Good looking 177h i wish i had that movment in mine looks great, can you PM me and let me know where you got it from. Love the pics too!
  8. I had to pop into town today to get a part for a bike i am working on so i popped into the Breitling Ad to try on a SFSO i had been admiring for a while, they were even happy for me to take a pic wearing it so even though i am wearing my 177h right now the wrist check photo is the breitling. I am very happy with the photo for quick phone snap as it has highlight ed the two most impressive thing on the gen. Firstly check out that AR and now look at the colour of the dial, there have been a couple of threads about whyat colour the white on is and it is definatly not white on the gen but a nice creamy ivory. Now we have all agreed that the rep is not white but is it any thing like the colour of this? If someone confirms this then i am buying one! today if possible. Especialy after that bloke on you tube confirmed what you had been saying for soooo long.
  9. 8days on the bay I am sceptical about this one very but not an expert on this one, did it come with a solid back?, the only one i have any liturature on is the radiomer with the JLC works and PR on the rear. This looks like it could be an asian 21j one. Well that one sold for
  10. I Like it, we all know that they are not dead accurate to the original but great looking watches! Wear it well.
  11. As far as i can see in the main there are no difference between the casings on destros it is just upside down and in some cases a different CG to make sure the lever is pointing the right way, the works are the same it is just the dial that is different. I was going to make my 1680noobnothing ( the unnamed rolez looking thing a tefty but could not find a datw wheel or overlay that would work, that was all that would have been required with the dial i had in mind. I i had a no date dial to hand it would have been a lefty.
  12. @G on the other one you did, i have found that if the stem is just a touch too long then once it is fully in and screwd down then the movement will stop, Ziggy would be able to tell us what gears it was pushing on and causing this but it takes a couple of times to get the length right and if you a trimming one down always stat longe and work you way down. If you cut it too short you cant stretch it!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. If it has an over lay then yes you could reposition it if you are brave or adventurous, it is the best way to learn, from you own mistakes! I did and now am happy to attempt most things (on my own watches)
  14. I can understand them being impressed with the quality but if they new any thing about the PO they would have seen that the logo was wrong and the AR was not strong enough. However it is a good endorsment of the quality of this rep, Go get a Breitling steelfish and see what they say about that!, It uses a breitling 17 cal and that happens to be a nickle plated 2824 nothing more!
  15. This method has worked well on all of my Rolex reps bar one, I have found that neadle nosed letherman tools work great on omega backs in the past, just be carefull not to scratch it!
  16. Hi Helmut, I have a 177h now as well, from TTK all asian but i love it, now on a rep deployment from another member. Just love the texture and feel of the TI. Is the one above the one from the market in CR?
  17. Who is the Joe, he is not a dealer here! i have consitently used the deaslers here with good reputations, that means i have not orderd from paul, i have never had to send a watch back, i have had one arrive with a loose lume marker that was fixed by my local watch maker ( i could have done it my self but did not want to mess it up as it was a gift for my wife) One never arrived and was replaced by the seller. 99.9% happy. We have people here that will provide service beyond what is expected. Why do you go outside what is offerd here and then complain?
  18. Pugs shots looked great with a sub on black nato, do you have a two tone black and grey there in 20mm, if so want to trade /sell it, pm me, it will save me buying one from some place else!
  19. Do eta subs use an overlay, like the noob to get the date wheel in the right place, if so you might be able to re position it!
  20. Well has has convinced me that the gen is not worth the money , buy the rep!!!!!!!!!!
  21. It would be nice if it did that is for sure, i would love that gen ar on my silix po.
  22. @ Justasgood, thanks for the inspiration and the late night, have a look
  23. The one on the right too, but just because of the shade of blue, but because of the photo and shade in it, if the watches were the other way round i would still say the one on the right.
  24. Have a look at the Omega Aqua tera in 38mm, large but not too big, i bought my wife a gen a year or so ago with the rose gold markers and my self the rep. Gen It is now on the corect At bracelet as well Rep By the way while we are on the subject of pams on ladiees 217 on my wife, i know you would not like to fight her! I did once, only once!
  25. This could be a good photo thread. To all the anti gun lobbyists these are just photo props! OK Please lets not get onto that discussion again. Well the Mauser is small so it is a bit james bondish.
