Yes i was, i started my service at 16 and just after my 18th i was on active duty. Just as many of your countrymen are on active duty now and are only 18, they saw that as a way of paying or an education or just a way of getting a good job, or may be even a sense of duty to serve their country. If they can be grown up enough then so can the rest, people will only grow up when treated like a grown up, and only be responsible when given responsibility.

I totally agree they should be controlled. but not banned! I have lived in many places where fire arms have been tightly controlled and others where they are literally every where, the one thing in common with all places is that people were murdered, some times with and some times with out the use of fire arms. If i was psychotics enough to want to kill x amount of people the access to fire arms or lack of would not prevent me. What prevents me comiting murder the the fact that i may be cought and would not get to spend the time with my family. Therfore i the law is my deterant. Unfortunately that is not the case with some one who intends to kill himself in the end. If i knew what that was i would have made a fortune by now and would be buying watches right now.

Sorry but i think it is quite easy to create a device equal to the weight of an average handgun that would easily have the capacity to kill that many people in one go. You don't need to know how i know but it is professional, not a hobby.

I have to agree with Capt_Cope, Guns don't kill people, people kill people. How hard is it to kill 33 people in two hours with out a gun, give me a scalpel and an airline ticket, or niXrXgXn rich fertiliser fuel oil and a coffee grinder, im sure TTK knows what i mean and where i learned it. What we need is a robust system of punishment to keep crime down, all crime not just gun crime and if that entails corporal punishment so be it. I know it would not stop what has happened, and i dont know what would have. But i don't believe banning guns is the answer. If i had to i could kill with a tea spoon or a pair of sun glasses and so could every one given the right motivation. @ Capt Cope, keep going i just put some pop corn in!

Are you sure that this watch hacked when you got it? (hacked as in stopped when the crown was pulled) Are you sure that it is a 6497 asian or chiss? is this the movement in your signature pic? if not can you provide a picture of the movement in question.

You know that looks so much like the rep that we were getting, 3rd 4th gen, or was it the first 45mm one, i would be very suspect there!

The Co-axial movement is based on a 2892 and i believe that the date wheel positioning will be the same for a 2824 as they have the same outside diameter and date wheel i think. (sure i will be corrected if i am wrong on this) so the date window will be the same for gen and rep with a chish 2824.
