No R11co, i was speaking to the brother of a freind who knows an Invicta sales rep (real knowledgeable chap i hear) and he assured me that they were 100% Chiss made, maybe some get a swinese make over, Cote de gangzu stripes and so on, I am a bit of an EAT snob and i want to be sure that mine are 100% gen Chiss, all the dealers are aware of this and am happy that i pay an extra premium for assurance on its origin.
Pug thanks for the link, that is a good site, you have to turn the speakers down a bit though, mine were on quite loud when i clicked the link and nearly Sh?t my self.
From what i hear we could be seeing this in a week of so,
Q Why are weeks so long when you are waiting for things?
and then there is the postal wait, and the customs wait, ah sh??
I may look a bit big but so did the fiddy when i first got it and i love that now, it is realy how YOU feel about it, get one of the cheaper ones and give it a go, if you don't like it then sell it.
Well the box set that i had posted the same day and when the watches finaly arrived the writing on the labels was the same and fairly legible, i don't blame the dealers end i blame shoddy English parcel force system!
I had the same on a package to UK it got thereok but then was sent back to sender due to adress problems, i had to wit a while but josh sorted me out, just relax when you make an order start to read a book (some times "war and Peace" would be good and the watch will be there some time after you have finished the book. I would never order to a tight time frame again after last christmas when i tryed it, give it plenty of time, EMS will come through in the end.
Well if he had sent me this picture i would have called him out on the watch too, if you look at the rotor you will note that the shoulders slope down ala 2892 and seagull ST18 and not recessed as in a gen 2500 movement!
To be a bit clearer the bearing is larger than on a gen (gen has greater mass out side bearing to improve winding) and where the rotor extends out from there, the gen has recesses down where as the 2892 and ST18 slope away, sorry got no pics on hand but just have a close look at the picture above.
