other than mis labeling of movements, i just don't see that this situationi is THAT BAD. I don't see a need to cause major issues, put a grading and recomendation system in place. Maybe an explination that we recomend using the following information in a sticky or something. Let the customer decide for themselves how they want the info presented - I mean, [censored], with all the sites now available, and the watches offered, its not like they have to go searching that hard. Just think of where we were a year ago. you were lucky to be able to ask 3 questions about a watch unless you were an established buyer. If you asked crystal, movement and somet hing else, I was lucky to get 2 questions answered We have unprecidented descriptions - are some of them a little shadY? well not anymore than the whole business is shady. If you want to offer a template, fine - if you want to say that the forum Recomends using this template fine but - don't start grading dealers What if some of their watches are good but not others. - Don't Endorse - we dont' endorse now we have a limited number of spots and we let people fill them. If they screw up, we kick them out and brign in someone new. the membership feels comfortable in recomending any of them. But - the site does not really endorse, we simply only make room for a few vendors. This may end up working, but, seriously what are we getting out of this, - no more light ar, no more synthetic saphire - - Big F-en deal You want to know the real secret - Go to josh's site and look at what he puts in Red or Blue writing. That is something special about the watch - like "now with blue screws" - well, then you know to look at other watches and say oh, look, it doesn't have the blue screws. I think a template is fine, i think using a template for the offers section is fine, i think making it well known to the membership that the board highly recomends using this template sas we believe that is the best way to get the best information about the watch - and let the members decide if they want to use a dealer with the template or not. I'm not sure who [censored] in my cornflakes today oh wait, i threw my back out last night, i might be a little hostile because of the intense pain - so, i don't mean to be hostile

Review Of The Black Steelfish From Josh.

have you ever worn the breit bently GT? One of the things i don't like about the way it feels is its "top heavy" the band almost seems to small for it and the weight makes it feel like its cutting into my wrist a little - i do blame part of the unfinished underside/ bracelet My 45mm PO is just Supercomfortable. can you comment on the steel fish? -
This is exactly what i keep telling my wife !!!!!!!!!!! the good news is that, as long as there is factories making them, we will findi a way - There are message boards about drugs and everything illegal you can think of - except kiddie porn. Want to get some illegal software - TONS of sites and those ARE the geniune article but, i agree, its very possible things will get more difficult.

I'm so jelous First how bout some pics Also, could you point out which of the 2 tones looked really good? or is it impossible to tell from the dealer photos, i'm very curious
-
never snow boarded, but doesn't seem to be lots of arm action cross country skiing - lots of arm wrist action and jerky movements - different story
-
I'm not saying if you whip your hand real fast it will fall apart but its a precision instrument that runs on gears and oiled jewells - All mechanical watches are subject to gravity hence, the need for tourbillion - counteract gravity repeated beating can have an effect on your watch and if its asian who knows right could have some chicken and rice in the movement to begin with
-
mechanical watches are NOT ment to take that kind of damage with hard core flipping and throwing - for example my father screwed up with Gen Chronomat playing golf. Wear Quartz to do some sort of crazy activity with lots of hand jerking i don't think that came out right

no prob, i wanted to take a picture for you but i hvae just been swamped

HOLY MACRO BATMAN -
I have to agree there - you know you love it neil :p well, who knows what the future holds. - I will say this - back in teh day you had paul mart - good site bad service king, ok site, - crazy english - and a few photobucket folks pricing was arbitrary - we like you low, we don't like you high. - there was a unwritten rule on the forum that you didn't reveal the deal you got from your dealer. - the only thing you had to compare was paulmart - AND if you wrote too many emails asking about pricing and what type of crystal it had, they some stopped answering you. Josh blew all that out of the water. Somehow he has been able to maintain general customer service through his new Conglomerate. The more we have gotten, the more we have to lose. Who knows whats coming- i know this, teh quality of these replicas are starting to scare even me- this can't go on for to long - these are too good. could easily be sold for gen I hope i'm wrong, but, when they get this good - someone is going to wake up. i'm not saying anything useful now so i will stop
-
yup - new people not appreciating how good they have it and demanding Neiman Marcus sales assistance and warrenty For many of them, its jsut not worth it. I like josh - i do, but what if he is in a car accident, - it will suck to have the dealers dwindle down to few.

as i said, royal pain in the ass Most likely your pin tool is to big to fit in the tiny hole in the one side. either get a better pin tool or try to file yours down some - I had to hammer the pin tool into the one side to get the [censored]en thing to pop out the pins are make of 2 pieces one has a round flat top and a solid tub looks like a bolt without threads the other piece is round flat top and has a short hollow tube, maybe 1/4 of the length of the pin. the hollow tube has a hole you can see clear through when its off from the flat round outside through the whole thing.. The long "bolt" side goes into the other "hollow" one and thats how it creates the tension to keep the pin attached. What you are trying to do, is push, through the hollow end so the pin slides out and you can remove both pieces from teh link. i have done 3 of these watches and they broke/ bent all of my pin tools trying to get the thing out. - i bought a better one now, but i am not goign to try it again unless i have to

pm'd DOH!
-
yeah, but WU is like a 20 or 25 dollar fee - thats alot for each rep buy - the prices haven't lowered to reflect that AND on top of it for us in the US the dollar sucks. reps have jumped up in price signifigantly ;( its going to be harder and harder for me to get new ones
-
Did he ever explain what happened with that crazy raffle? he collected tons of money, disappeared other members stepped up and offered prizes out of their own money - what was teh story there?
-
In FL we refer to him as "the rat"
-
yes wrong was th wrong word. i was tired when i wrote it sorry i ment to say my thought about the philosophy about what is going on is ..... sorry i hope i did not offend if i did it was by accident

Alright here is where your totally wrong If we had unlimited funds - we would get everything up front. - AND - you wouldn't have the "thrill of the hunt" what makes a behavior the most addictive when it has a randomized positive reinforcment. - thats why gambling is addictive - its not, winning or losing the amt of money its teh randomness that drags you in I think its that way for the watches - we love the watches but even more we love to love teh watches - we love to look for them, try them on - look for new ones - The biggest pleasure i have gotten out of any purchase has been one i got by accident. what does that tell me? in fact - it changed my whole concept of what i enjoy - here is the best part about reps - its affordable to be this sick Here is another interesting thin - i tend to sell alot of reps. And the cost of ownership isn't to bad. 20-30 or even 50 less than i paid - used for 6 months - thats not really that bad. there is a capital investment to build the collection - but, since i made that i have bought and sold alot and haven't spent as much as you might think. - except for straps i even walked away for almost 9 months (coincidently how long it takes to pop out a kid :)its all krazy
-
So - I've got my crystal cranium hat on today and i wanted to pose the question is it possible to have the Perfect Collection? I thought i had it recently, i thought had all occassions, all colors all weights, important complications (gmt) I thought i had a set of reps that - i just wouldn't sell. but - i've stripped down my collection again to raise $$ for some new models coming out- see graphite BCE I now have at least 2 projects i want to do - Franken Breit Crosswind and Custom Black Monster by Flav I have decided i want to go to some places that i never thought i would - gold, 2T, maybe even some bling The worst offender are of course the dealers - or should we say the factories - damn new things - damn making all of us who spent 4 billion dollars on mods - then you come out with fixed watches . Rrrrrr and - then there are those "discounts and sales" that pop up the day after you pay for a watch but anyway - i used to be a stickler for accuracy - but, i am all about self satisfaction - and about watches tha tmake me happy. For instance, i know they don't make it, but those Blue Chrono 45mm PO's i think are pretty cool looking, i mgiht want one - I will say this - i never wanted an omega - then i just wanted the orange PO 45mm - i accidently got black - its now my favorite watch. its just different when they are on - its also different when there is a signifigant leap in quality - AR, dial material, crowns, yadda yadda this is obviously an objective - but also philisophical question can there be a perfect collection? or are we to sick - or should we just drink !!!
-
its a royal pain in the ass - i broke 2 pins trying to get it to work. you have to have a really small pin to get into that side with the hole, i think i file'd one down. This is the only watch i ever had to use a hammer and marble tile to get the pin back in - and i had to do 2 of hte damn things I got a new better pin tool stronger, less cheap and thinner, but that was after the fact. MAJOR PAIN don't be afraid to apply extreme predjudice
-
whichever one is on my wrist that day
-
or you could just get the Rep with CZ for 400 and call it a day
