  1. I went to their site. $900 for a genuine Rolex replica. And I save $400 off the "regular" price. Now thais is the "ultimate Rolex". Yeah right?!!
  2. I just got an Omega Bond watch and it has the dreaded misalligned bezel. I followed by-tor's tutorial but the damn thing won't come off. I used my fingers, a plastic hotel key and both got chewed up. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks. pman
  3. No, this IS getting out of hand!!! Actually this would look great great with a black rubber strap. pman
  4. The absolute funniest post I've read in a month. Bravo!!! pman
  5. Thanks Pug that helps a lot. Andrew, Trustytime, is my man. So a dealer like Andrew and ETA's are a good combo. I also want to thank you for all the info you provide with your reviews. I've learned tons from you and it's nice of you to share your knowledge with others. That's what makes this the best rep forum, in my opinion. pman
  6. Pug, I just started collecting and thought that ETA was the way to go. The movement is supposed to be better quality, more reliable and longer lasting. I value your opinion so can you explain to me why most of your watches have asian movements? I'm rethinking my decision to buy only ETA watches. Please help, am I making the right decision? Thanks. pman
  7. I've posted this in a seperate thread but I'll try again. Does anyone have any extra links that I could buy? Or, if you're feeling very generous, give to me. I need a couple and my dealer doesn't have any. Thanks very much. pman
  8. I was surfing a dealer's website and noticed this photo. Take a look at where the watch was "supposedly" made. On some nights after lots of drinks I think I've been there. Disclaimer - This is no slam on any dealer. I just thought it was funny. PS I'll give you a clue. The word I'm talking about is similar to Switzerland

    Ttk's Po's

I lost my links when I had the band resized. Honestly, I think my wife accidentally threw them out. It's gotten hot here and I would like to add a link or two. Would anybody be interested in selling/giving me their extras? I checked with my dealer and he doesn't have any extra. It would be greatly appreciated. pman
  10. I had my PO sized when I got my 4th Gen Omega Planet Ocean from Andrew and now I think I need to add some links. The problem is that I can't find the links that were taken off. Does anybody have some that I can have/buy? The band is too tight and I need help. I'll be travelling this weekend but will try to check in and respond as quickly as I can. Thanks. pman
  11. I went to the mall last evening and saw two guys wearing Breitling Bentleys. The first guy was behind the counter at take-out restaurant and had on a BB white face. I got a decent look at the watch and it was pretty impressive. I complimented him on his watch and left it at that. The second guy almost ran into me when he turned around quickly to point something out to his wife. He had the red faced BB. I was thinking to myself that they're multiplying faster than rabbits. Now both could have been gens, but I doubt it. What concerns me is that a watch that is supposed to be a high end, exclusive watch just all of a sudden shows up in two times in the same day. I live in an upscale area but I haven't seen one before today. Have you guys seen many BB watches recently? Are you afraid that if there are a bunch of reps will "cheapen" yours? From the standpoint of exclusivity that is?
  12. Crystalcranium, you are spot on. But, for a different reason. I didn't want to wait until I got home to check out the watch. No hiding here. If she gives a me hard time I'll tell I'll just go buy the gen. :-) I'm liking the speedmaster moon watch very much. There's something very cool about a watch that's been to the moon. As I understand it the watch needs to be manually wound is that correct? When it comes to PAMs I don't even know what a swan neck is. I do like the 111h thought. I was on Trusty's site and see that they are hand wound as well. Is that because the movement has to look right with the glass back? Is that the way it is in the gen? LET THE COLLECTING COMMENCE!! pman
  13. Crystalcranuim, sorry to hear about your experience. I just checked USPS and it appears the watch will arrive tomorrow. I'm not going to wear a watch to work tomorrow in the hopes that it comes. Now, what do I want to get next? Pan? Chronus, any suggests on what to start with? pman
  14. I'm a newbie who just bought an Omega PO from Andrew late last week. My first rep. I can't wait for the watch to get here! I actually went to an authorized dealer just to look at it in person and try it while I wait for it to get here. How do you guys do it? I'm already looking at what other watches to buy and I don't even have my first. I can see this is going to be an expensive hobby. It's all your fault. ;-) Ah, I feel better now, I just needed to let it out. pman PS Thanks for all the advice and things I've learned from everyone on the board!! This place is awesome.
  15. Does the crown stick out at all? I hear there's a problem with it not sitting against the watch case. Could you give a shot of the back of the watch case? The "planet ocean" and sea horse are different on some watches. Also, how is the weight? Does it feel heavy like the gen? Thanks in advance. pman
  16. Thanks everyone. I'm looking forward to the experience. Is it proper etiquette to contact people via private mail when inquiring about a wathes for purchase?
  17. Hello everyone. I'm very fortunate to find this place. I was about pull the trigger on a watch but you guys saved me. I would have had a terrible experience and written the whole thing off. I have an original Baume & Mercier Capeland Chrono automatic that I just love. I'm now looking to expand my collection without breaking the bank. I've got two questions. 1. I'm looking for a watch that won't break in the short term. I know there are no guarantees. Are there certain brands that seem to be more accurate and longer lasting than others? For example, Panerai? Or, is it that everyone on the baord just loves the style? 2. I've noticed that there are a lot of watches on the replica sites that the trusted dealers on the board don't carry. Is there a reason for this? Are the replica sites selling an inferior product? Thanks again for all your help. Any advice for someone just starting out is greatly appreciated. Pat
