It also depends on where you're going to wear the watch. By that I mean, work, play, etc. A 44mm Pam on your wrist is going to draw a lot of attention in a work environment. I suggest a 40mm to start, if it's for work, and then think about a 44mm. I have a 7.5 wrist and own a 176h and it's still rather large. Just be forwarned, once you get one you'll be hooked!
I just received mine last week. I think it came in about 3 weeks after ordering. I hope you guys get your crowns. Man, that's got to be frustrating waiting that long.
Damn Schultz that looks great. I was thinking of gettinga sub and putting a Nato Bond strap on it. But that looks awesome. I think you just saved me at least $100. Thanks. Where did you get your strap?
Be magnamous and give it to the first person who responses to your post. Especially if that person were seriously consider buy one in the first place. What do you think, a good idea?
I've sent my money in but gotten no response as well. He has been very responsive up the point that I sent money. He told me had the crown and it would be sent out immeadiately. I hear that it sometimes takes a while to get Palp crowns. Anybody what to comment on the their experience?
In my humble opinion you should sell it. Enjoy the Sub and when the itch hits build another one. I think that's what you enjoy the most anyway, the building. Either way, anyone on this board would like to be in your "difficult" position. Decisions, decisions!!
I sent him my PAM 176h to relume and upgrade the cannon pin. This was my first mod and I was very apprehensive. The watch worked well for a week and then began acting up. I sent it back and the end result is that he fixed the problem. In addition, he replace my sh!tty original crown with a better spare he had at no charge. He also tightened up my crown lever to make it feel more like a gen. I'm in sales and know a little bit about customer service, and I can't say enough about how good this guy is. His communication, response time and personal service are second to none. I will be a Flavor Flav customer for life. If you are considering watch service or a mod I highly recommend you contact him and see for yourself.
Disclaimer: I was not compensated in any way for this post. He did an excellent job and I want everyone to know how lucky we are to have guys like this on the board.
I have a PAM 176h. A lot of people comment on the watch but I've only run across one person who knows about the brand. I have noticed that there are now a couple guys in our NY office that them. Three months ago nobody had one. Personally I hope they never become widely known.
The reason I posted it was because it talks about how serious the issue of misrepresentation of luxury products, watches included, has become. There are now companies that have been created to make sure that people aren't taken advantage of. I think this is a good thing.
I fall into Camp 2. What I haven't quite figured out yet is when to have it serviced. I have three reps all less than a year old. All are swiss ETA, or at least I ordered ETAs. When should a relatively new swiss ETA watch be serviced? One year, two years into it's life? Some advocate that a watch should be served right away. The Zigmeister I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.
I've read in other posts that the dial font is incorrect and that the thickness of the sandwich dial is too thin. I'm curious if he has corrected the problems with the new dial. I'm thinking about replacing the dial if the new one he offers is much more accurate.
