Yes but with a gen bezel, his is almost the same, and brass too..
True A, the best out there and very reasonable against the mind blowing price of a gen

"Didn't know these phongs were so expensive."
I knew it but still can not believe it.
I would buy a cheaper Yuki etc case.
Why?
Because a replica will always be a replica just like a monkey in a tuxedo will always be a monkey.
And to be honest his stuff varies massively in terms of being close to Gen spec. I've had some crap cases from him before

In re-reading this thread, it appears that this is the standard Puretime 6542 that has been upgraded with a Phong bezel, gen-spec crystal, and Raffles small GMT hand.
Is that right? It doesn't look as wokky as the other Puretime 6542s are. Was something done with the rehaut or are we just not noticing it because the aging is so well done?
How did you spiderweb age the insert? That looks fantastic.
Correct, the movement was also converted to non adjustable 24hr hand, non hacking and non quick set date as per Gen 1036 movement

Well Gentlemen, I have to say the rehaut just needed a gentle sanding down. The insert was really an experiment but i used very course sand paper on the reverse side in a very random way. No one way just almost touch and twist. Then used a very dark blue perminant pen to fill in the scratch marks, also a bit of black pen as well. The face side recieved the same un even course sand paper then polywatch polish, again and again and again......we're going for the 50 year old look.
The phong bezel was gently sanded to expose the brass, the dial and hands well that's Big Daz at his best, god knows how it does it really, remember on a totally stock rep dial!
Hope that helps, get sanding!

Its this.............do the research and you'll find that its truly one of the most amazing watches ever made. I can remember my mate down in Birmingham Importing them and not being able to give them away at £800.00 a pop
Well the guys at Bathing Ape cottoned on and the rest is history. So if you can find one, invest. Seriously

As the title states, can any of you gentlemen please confirm the hand/pinion sizes for the CHS eta 2836-2 movements
Many Thanks

Does anyone here own or can recommend a good lapping machine. Primary purpose is case shaping/polishing.
Thanks
Not sure about a machine but if you wanted to do it the old school way this is a great starter pack.https://www.cousinsuk.com/search-results?searchtext=lapping
In terms of removing metal you'd need to go for a set of jewelers files and go SLOW!!!

Good Morning Gentlemen,
As a long term trusted UK based member of the forum, i am now being frequently asked from other forum members to help with shipping watches, Gen and Rep to the EU and Asia, mainly from The States and Canada.
In terms of shipping from here in the UK to anywhere else in the EU, the issue of customs is negligible however Italy can still be a little problematic
All packages are shipped using Parcelforce International, using their fully tracked service. With regards to Insurance i can go up to £500.00 at an additional cost. Please note that the cost of shipping is also based on weight, so if your shipping a heavier package then it will cost more.
With regards to loss, sadly on occasion things do go missing, I am of course happy to put in a claim with Parcelforce on your behalf.
Compensation is based on proof of value. I normally use a copy of a Paypal Invoice for this. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any of your shipping requirements.

Dear DH i think you can find one on all actually cartel version of 16570 or 16710 from PT (maybe he have only the spare bracelet, in the past i have bought a couple of 93150) it's not that bad for what it cost whit a little mod and reshaping from what i remember (actually not have anymore)
You can view it on 16710 from PT here:

Good Morning Gentlemen,
I have a question for you, can anyone confirm if there has ever been a rep 78790A SEL bracelet? I've been doing some research with a view to putting together a semi franken 16570 and had read a few posts which mentioned one existing. Any idea what model it may have come on? Nothing appears to exist on anything current. Did it come on the short lived infamous Noob version?
Any help greatly appreciated

I Have to agree with CC, go for one of the older closed case back ones, I'm sure Andrew still has them listed on his site as the 'MBW' versions. snip the seconds hand, unless you can get the pinion capped, possibly re lume it with a creamer colour and you have a very nice example which is unlikely to be called out.
The big tell tale is the date window position and the dots printed next to it.

Always done a sterling job for me, although he can get very busy so the wait can be a while
