Hi all,
Did start a topic relating to the HE Valve on this version of the DSSD, but haven't got a defining answer. Has anyone bought one of these Cartel V5 DSSD models from either Josh or Andrew and swam in it etc. The watch is rated to 50m.I am also told that the valve on this watch works as per original, and differs from earlier versions etc. In other words it doesn't push inwards etc
Many Thanks

Good Evening Gents,
Just purchased Seafoams DSSD(Cartel Ultimate)V5.5, a true Gent and a pleasure to do business with.
I have a Genuine Rolex Helium Valve from the older SeaDweller model and wondered if you think it would fit the Cartel DeepSea Case, do both Gen models use the same Helium valve? I only ask as there seems to be some concerns on the forums concerning the performance of the Reps Helium Valve. All opinions welcome.
Thanks Denimhead
Good Afternoon to the Vintage Rolex experts amoungst you, need some advise if possible. Rebuilding a 1655 from Gen parts but missing the Gen hand set,so need to buy a nice set of replacement hands. Come on you know you want it! the movement is 'as new' This is a bargain price and would be worth the investment even if it sits in your draw for a year.
F.A.O Rolex Franken builders out there, i have a Gen 3135 Rolex movement(WHITE DATE WHEEL) for sale in the 'Parts For Sale' Forum.
Many Thanks

Hi Ciccio,
These are not correct, they will fit the 3135 movement but the minute hand is the wrong size(its a standard Sub Hand) and the red second hand is wrongly fully painted.
Thanks Anyway
Only got the highest praise for Domi60, he did a very nice job on an AP Rubberclad i sent him. Full graphite service,AR and waterproofing. He's currently putting together an IWC Cousteau 06 with Gen movement(Concepta) for me and i expect it will surpass my expectations. He's a true Gent.

Had a full graphite and service,AR and waterproofing done on my AP Rubberclad, he is also currently working on a IWC Cousteau with Gen movement(Concepta supplied)for me. All i can say is that he's a true Gent and a consumate proffesional where i am concerned.

I ordered a Gen 1570 movement from Phong for a 1665 project and it was fine. He seems to be involved with servicing Gen Rolex's as well as the replacement parts business.Makes we wonder how many so called 100% vintage Gen watches are out there, and are the so called Vintage dealers using people like him to source impossible to find parts then age them to complete restorations.Especially when you think how much the early Subs and Explorers go for these days.
Hi Raijor,
Any idea's where from? tried all the usual suspects on the bay but they only stock the standard Sub hand sets or the 3135 Gen movement.I have found one supplier that can supply the red seconds hand so a start.
Appreciate any leads
Cheers DH
Good tester model, if you decide you want a YM for keeps then there's only one to have - www.watchmaker9.tv
As good as it gets, check out BK'S Garage at Collectors forum, he sells the WM9 YM but offers an upgraded crown and crystal, i have one on order. You can even upgrade the movement to a Gen 3135 Rolex movement as it fits the case.
Sent four emails so far to 'G@WM9' no response as yet, not sure if there closed for the holidays but reading on the forums the response times from them are not great if at all.
Afternoon All,
I have a BK WM9 2008 z series Yachtmaster on the way in the new year, just out of interest does anyone have a source for a Gen Rolex 3135 movement and hand set at a reasonable price? There are a couple up for grabs on the Bay at $1900.00 but there from 1990's watches, whats the going rate?
Many Thanks
DH
