  1. Aye, and they were planning something more like The Monkees! (joke, joke) So I suppose you're saying "Shine on you insignificant diamond" and "Wish you were here, but we would have done it without you, and we're not all that fussed" Poor sod either way. I doubt he was 'right' in the head from the start - that is very often the way with flashes of brilliance (but I will refrain from my full Oliver Sacks spiel!) RIP
  2. Yup! They're not very tough.....but by god are they punctual! Great work taking the scammer on.
  3. ROFL! @Ken: check out the staff page on the website, and also the link on the previous page here (for the bears and the cars).
  4. Hmm...I know that pidgin English from somewhere? You're not one of those Watusi from Mbuto Gorge? No? Trollerama.
  5. Chronocentric say this: "Klaus Kobec -- Advertises heavily in magazines as being comparable to US$2,000+ watches, with a retail price of US$900, but can be yours for only US$200." Now, I don't like the aesthetics of this watch, and I think a gold plated crown is a bad idea - but if they stick an ETA in perhaps they are entitled to compare it to $2000+ watches. That's what we do. Where they come unstuck a bit is with the RRP rubbish (a game many play) - it costs less than $200 everywhere, and it's across ebay like a rash.
  6. Is it just me, or does Roger have slightly more wheels in the first two photos than he does on the website!! Also, his ears are smaller (wing mirrors).
  7. Don't stress about the supposed 'flaws' - you've got one amazing ETA watch there - it looks great!! Enjoy!!
  8. I take it you like PAM's then! lol! Great collection!
  9. Dancing travels Okay - it's not hilariously funny or anything - but a nice idea. Maybe for the RWG PAW watch on its travels? Was also interested to read about the song he uses on the video - basically swiped (should I say "repped"?) from the Solomon Islands. [EDIT: I mean the PAW watch here! Pass Around Watch ]
  10. Customs But great collection! So what are the watches?
  11. Fair play. As you were boys, with apologies!
  12. Mate, you've been stooged.... You're minkee isnae French, he's fae the Gallowgate.
  13. I didn't know you spoke such excellent French- it's like speaking with Clouseau himself!
  14. I read up on it: they are allowed to kick the utter shit out of each other, but swearing in the ring is a foul - which I thought was sweet!
  15. Joe Stevenson? We're talking tiddlywinks, right?
  16. I think we should ALL retire like this. So much more fun than a gold watch!!
  17. Not wanting to appear too cynical - but this is, of course, advertising spiel and PR puff. Blancpain according to Blancpain. Ironically (because of Blancpain's views on quartz) I used to have to write exactly this kind of spiel on "the wonders of quartz" Regardless of all that - very informative and interesting. Thank you!
  18. Thank you kind sir!! She will be cherished!!
  19. There are many ways - here's an easier one: 1. Duplicate Layer with your picture. (Layer > Duplicate Layer) 2. Select the lower layer. (Click on lower layer in Layers Window) 3. Convert that layer to greyscale (Image > Adjustments > Desaturate) [if you want to improve the greyscale, play with the Levels and bring the black and white towards the middle: Image > Adjustments > Levels] 4. Select the top layer (Click on top layer in Layers Window) 5. Use the magic wand, select tools and eraser to delete the sections you want black and white. This will leave the colour bit in the top layer. Hopefully - voila! Cheers! (EDIT: Added the menu paths)
  20. That's never what my wife says! I agree that for those that like gold and can afford it, it looks like an excellent deal - as I said, a lot of watch for the money. You're not having to pay 100% retail mark-up either.
