  1. So are you saying its just the sels or all the midlinks in the braclet?
  2. im2, I think you are talking about George of WM9 when referring to the pearl.
  3. Excellent choice on your noob. Its a GREAT watch! As far as movements. Really it depends on you, and I doubt anyone will know the difference even yourself. What matters if it bothers you "inside" AKA in your head your wishin you got the higher movement... I have a few swiss ETA and let me say... I can barely count 4 ticks because the watch ticks so fast. IMHO just stick with the 6 beat movement.
  4. A beautiful watch at a beautiful price!
  5. If it presses in it will always sit slightly recessed. How else would it snap in?
  6. Tribal can you please be more specific on where to pick these up? I am assuming ebay, but I find many names under "wholesale" Perhaps a link to the sellers store?
  7. So there has been some talk of the ofrei crystal. I contributed to it by saying that the top bevel was really beautiful... It is... but BK quickly pointed out to me its missing the MAIN bevel. Attached is a picture to show you. Now the kind of aftermarket cystal being searched for is a combination of the two. Having both bevels. (thanks BK for the image) I have a message into wholesaleoutlet/jeweleryoutlet about their crystal. Hopefully SOMEONE can make this!
  8. Yes, but BK just pointed out that clarks is CLOSER to gen! back to the drawing board! -Shawn
  9. For a rep Im assuming? If so then your answer is to just ask one of our dealers. You will certainly find some.
  10. Thank you guys all for the info! It has certainly helped! Just to give an update, thank you soo much for the "heat up the tube/case" tip. It made taking out the current tube a breeze. I just unscrewed it with some pliers. At this point all the threads look to be in fine condition. That being said, should the new tube screw in... do I have to tap the case? Thank you again everyone! -Shawn
  11. As per BK's request here is a better picture of the crystal differences!
  12. Gen watch? You should get a gen braclet. Dont downgrade that beautiful piece with replica parts!
  13. Freddy, I know that I am not a platnium member, but I have learned a lot. I have made some connections with some people here (porche and shundi come to mind) as well as worked with BK to solve some problems with the euromariner. With all due respect (and you deserve a lot with your level of knowledge). The things that you are asking for is clearly outlined in my original question. As I stated, it is for a 16610 Submariner (a euromariner) so it should fit no problem. I am ordering a gen tube and crown that I want to install. The 16610 has a date and I believe a model number that I stated in my original post quickly brings the vagueness level down. I really am taken aback that you have been the only person to respond to my question. Thank you for taking the time to do so. Despite the experience that I have gained, I have never done a tube installation, and I am very nervous. Again any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated. -Shawn
  14. Freddy, I wouldnt be asking if I had found something. I see MANY tutorials but if you notice even edges beloved guide http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=10769... stops at the tube. I want to make sure that I am going to do this right. Please note I have seen your post on tube tapping, still that is well below the level of information that I am looking for. If you would please point me to a guide I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks, Shawn
  15. Patfvl's idea is better try that. The acetone should dissolve the glue.
  16. Tribal, As BK and I have found it is the retaining ring. If you take the entire bezel assembly off then try to snap in the insert it will not work. Only when the retaining ring is sanded down will the bezel snap in.
  17. Hey RWG, Ok so I ordered a gen crown and tube for my 16610 submariner (a euromariner) and I need to know how to take the old tube out and put the new tube in. Havent seen a lot of articles on how to do this. So if someone can give me a step by step guide that would be great. I also need a place that I can buy an inexpensive tube tap! Thanks, Shawn
  18. Take a hammer to the crystal and break it then. Dont break the retaining ring.
  19. You need to buy a fully modded watch. The engraved rehut is nothing close to the actual engravings instantly showing that the watch is a fake. A noob mariner would be an excellent choice, get it with a 28.8k movement and pop a gen insert in and you will have a watch that is very close to the real deal. If you want EXACT then I reccomend a WM9/Euromariner. Modding the crystal with a clarks or oferi. Shaving off the CGs. Getting a gen insert. Reluming the watch with super luminova. Inserting a noob dial. -Shawn
  20. I tried to get as great a shot as I could. Sadly my camera only does so much. Here you can see the difference in crystal quality...
  21. Spinmaster is selling gen tube/crown combo for $165 I picked one up for my ETA... mmmmm
  22. Isnt the tudor logo on that watch wrong? I thought it was a shield (like the two watches shown here to compare)
  23. Havent reinstalled dials yet. I will let you know when I get them all back together.
