Thanks guys. I'm not sure of the lug width Samurai. will have to measure. I understand there are more variations coming up. I'm now going to order the strap for the maxi diver. Nice option and actually the watch may look better on it. As for these being "designer" watches.......they are. Normally that's not my thing, as you know. I'm a vintage guy. These just stood out and since I'm a serious collector decided to add them to the collection. I hear from Josh that there are some serious new models coming.

I have many of both movements and find that that the 21J's are totally reliable. I have some that are 4-5 years old and run just fine and are still accurate. If it breaks I can get the movement for about 20 bucks and just swap it. For the difference in price my take is the 21j's will last for many years.

I'm a huge admirer of UN's and was reluctant to pick up some new reps since I already have a ton, but I couldn't resist. But when these showed up..... Picked up a UN Blue Surf and Maxi Diver. Both are very close to the gen and the bracelets are outstanding. The big difference is size. The blue surf is 43mm (approx) and the Maxi diver is 45MM. Both are heavy watches but the Max diver is heavier. That is the difference between the gen and rep. The gen is titanium and rep is stainless steel. That's about the only difference i see. I'll let the pictures do the talking: The two side by side: notice the difference in size. The bracelets are different sizes as well: Maxi Diver: Blue Surf: These UN's represent the new quality of reps we're seeing. It's actually pretty scary when you compare them with the Gen's. They appear identical (except for the movement....which nobody see's since we don't wear our watches movement up!)

Things change.......life happens. Your efforts are certainly appreciated, but we've gone to a daily apparently.

Phoband, my sympathies on your personal situation. I do agree with your philosophy about "buying things" to cure depression. I think I am perenially depressed cause I keep buying. I also just received the Blue surf and the red and black 45mm version and ............I'm less depressed Great reps!
