Wow, Lani, my speed reading course finally paid off.
The Zigmeister and I joined around the same time four years ago. The difference between us "Old Schoolers" is that he knows stuff and I don't.
TT...The Deepsea is definitely great value. I also find these cheap movements as reliable as the "ETA's". I have about 20 of them and have never had a problem over the last 4 years. And replacements are readily available.
The Daytona is a 7750. Bought is several years ago and despite it's flaw (pusher not asymetrical) it's one of my favorite vintages.
Doc, That Milgaus looks great.
Starting the week with my newest acquisition: This one is the Asian version of the Deep Sea
Tuesday: B&R
Wednesday: Early Daytona
Well, mine just arrived. Quite a beast....lovely beast that is. Question: How do you resize the braclet? Same old way? Take a link out? Unfortunately, the sliding adjustment isn't enough. still to big.
Thanks in advance for the input.
Funny thing. I was in the AD today and looked closely at the SD. The bezel fonts on it looked a little thin compared to the pics I'd seen. My guess is that those Bezel fonts are pretty close when compared to the real deal and not pics.
Four years! It seems like yesterday. There are some wonderful people here and some great friendships that have developed on this forum and it's predecessor.
Merry Christmas/Happy Chanukah to all!
Date Wheel sunken? So what, if we all took that to heart none of our dated reps would be bought. NO ONE (other than us) will ever notice. The watch looks great.
Thanks Nanuq, I'm gonna track him and when he gets here finally grab a picture of him. I cleaned out my chimney and locked the doors so..........I'm waiting.
