  1. I am with you Slai. I bought the CG without having anything to fit it to. I am really interested to know if this will work with DSN's 111H. Anyone have an update on whether this fits a DSN case?
  2. Looks good. But i guess i have seen the pictures of the gen watch both ways - both silver and black. Which is the true correct one. Also - datewindow is still a little to far to the right - but less noticeable now.
  3. Ahh -- got you. I have not looked that closely. I was more commenting on the way that the movement works - which is the same. I will have to check out the order of the Omega GMT hands. Thanks! I wonder if that means that the ICHS hands would work on it?
  4. So - yeah - the Omega Caliber is 1128. Now, the really interesting thing is that the Omega calibers are in essense ETA's. That is why you can swap gen dials and hands in the UPO and everything works perfectly. I think that the real Omega PO movement is a modified 2892. So- the question is, if you had a 1128 movement - and wanted to swap it into the GMT2C CHS - I am pretty sure that the hour and minute hands would work - but would the GMT hand - and the datewheel work. We have not seen the other side of the CHS movement (the face side) and that would be the real tell.
  5. The omega caliber 1128 works the same way that the Rolex's does. Hour hand adjustable that is connected to the date. I.e. You change the date by running the hour hand around the dial independant of the gmt hand. I believe that it is actually a heavily modified 2893. But not sure on that last point.
  6. I think that if we are thinking about movement swaps to make the watch work the same way as the genuine you can get one of two movements. 1. gen rolex of course. 2. Omega GMT movement. My genuine Seamaster GMT works exactly the same way as the Rolex GMT movement. Not sure if all of the hands (especially the GMT hand) would continue to fit) but that would be the way to go.
  7. I would love to have this done for my GMTIIC but don't have the skills. I wish someone would offer a service for this type of thing - in conjunction with the Chief for the AR.
  8. Do you know if the datewheel is sunken on the 88?
  9. Hey members - I am looking to locate a pair of 6497 SILVER panerai hands for a 44MM case. Does anyone know where to get such an item? As far as I can find - there are only black, gold and blue (for the cali dial stuff). No silver. Would love it if someone knew where to source such an item. Thanks.
  10. So far - it looks like these are more accurate than we thought. I like this one - nice black lettering. I hope that the date surround is right.
  11. Looks like the screws on the bezel are wrong...should be polished.
  12. I am def interested in this. What is that movement in there?
  13. V - what case is the one in this picture? It fits great on this one.
  14. I love this watch - but can't get beyond the sunken date wheel.
  15. I do think that the watch is flashy. For me, it has to do with the band. The polished area is so noticeable, as opposed to the polished area on a Seamaster bracelet for instance. Perhaps if it has a more toned down bracelet, it would not be as flashy. That said, they really can't change the design of the Oyster bracelet can they. So it guess it is either polished mid-link or all brushed. I wonder what this would look like with an all brushed bracelet. Hmmm.........
  16. That is a great watch RobertB. I am in the process of getting a Rollie for my wife. I see that your has the ROLEXROLEX on the rehaut. How do you think that it looks compared to genuine? The pictures on the dealer sites are pretty bad - but yours looks pretty good from what I can see. To answer the question of the forum - i agree with jot9011. Cartier is the most prevalant where I work as well
  17. I was thinking - that looks too good to be true.
  18. Holy moly. That is thick. Good luck getting that under a shirt sleeve. Thanks for the great pics!
  19. Nice dial on the 23. I hope they do the same to the 63 so I can fix mine. Great stuff.
  20. Here is what Joshua recently e-mailed me regarding the "ceramic" bezel: "The base material is steel.. It is coated with ceramic coated to make it appear like ceramic.. Sandwich.. .. the numbers are sunken..."
  21. Oh - don't mind me. These are great reps. I am just a little anal about the low cross bar "A"s in PANERAI and MARINA. It has been a long time complaint of mine - because I feel it should be such an easy thing for the rep makers to fix. Yet they still manage to mess it up - even when they can replicate a Breitling or Chopard dial to near perfection. Ironically, the worst rep dials are the Panerai (bad A's), Omega (wrong Logo), and Rolex (just finally getting good after literallly years of crap) which are the most desired replicas. Conspiracy? Perhaps. I am hopeful for the effort to create a more accurate PAM dial. I believe that the 111H was first up but can't seem to find the thread now.
  22. Yikes. My mistake. Sorry about that. Here: http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=221 Same dial prob. I am waiting for a better 001B dial, myself.
  23. Ultimate 001B? - you mean this one: http://www.pc-80108.com/pn00101-swiss-unitas-6497-p-778.html It's nice - but ugh that dial.....
  24. It does look really good. Very interesting. If the bezel is ceramic - that would be a real dealmaker. The numbers are a little too thick on the bezel though. Now - the question is - what movement could you put in there when the modded 2836 eventually fails. ugh - the crown looks weak.
