  1. I have in my 1665 the datewheel under discussion. I was one of the lucky few that The Zigmeister was willing to do in the beginning. The Zigmeister did a perfect job lining it up and it has worked great thus far. Now - the datewheel has perfect alignment on all numbers except for my 4,5,6,7 which are all to high in the window. The rest of the numbers line up perfectly. Not sure if it is because of the printing on the overlay - or distortion due to the vinyl. Anyway - i avoid those days and wear it on all others. The datewheel is great on the 1665. On my 1680 - i stuck with the MBW overlay. I did not think the pixelation would be good in the cyclops.
  2. I am dreaming of there being enough interest for another Single AR run for PAM's. I have two crystals that I would like to have done in Single AR but there never seems to be enough interest in the board to reach 20 crystals.
  3. My bet - genuine watch, bad insert, bizzare datewheel. Probably a watch that had some questionable servicing not by a Rolex Authorized center. Cheap original owner.
  4. Lello, did the previous runs of the Breit DW also have this problem? I have not installed mine yet and do not want to if this shifted date number is the result.
  5. Chieftang - please include be for 2 crystals this round. They will be coming from The Zigmeister. Thanks!
  6. Well, I am glad that movements will be available to the trusted horologists, etc. And, i agree that the illusion of scarcity always makes something more desirable. I am sure that ETA is trying to also upscale the value of their brand. I am glad that we will have access to movements as necessary but am still worried that prices are inevitably going to go up - so I will start hoarding some movements in anticipation. BTW - Happy New Year, The Zigmeister. Great signature picture!
  7. What would be great is a corrected 063 dial with the right "A"'s in Panerai and the 24 hour numbers closer to the edge.
  8. triplehd - I have got one also. I am doing the usual stuff - insert, crown, tube, crownguards. The big question is can someone (BK) make a replacement crystal that does not have such a prounced etch (or heck - get rid of it altogethoer). Also - the datewheel font is a little large. Not sure where you are going to get a smaller one though. It is about 10% too big. Other than that - i am not sure what else can be done - lume? The rest is pretty good or can't be changed. i.e. Rehaut.
  9. Great pictures. Thanks for getting this out. I have been wondering about this one. I can not tell from the pictures - but they actually make the investment in engraving the rotor. It seems to look engraved.
  10. Any suggestions on where to get that dial, Angus?
  11. Hey guys. Unless I am mistaken - that MBW 1665 is not longer available. I got my 1665 from George and it does not have that working HE valve. Is it really possible to get that one again? Also - has anyone had a good look at the new great white from Paso? He has the new caseback. But i think that the HE valve on that one is also just etched - not working. Would love some help on this one.
  12. The white sub dial is genuine. Circa 78'. I have the same one in my 1680. You can tell by the 660 closed sizes. Very nice writeup.
  13. I have been looking for a cyclops solution. The Zigmeister told me that putting a cyclops back onto a double sided crystal is not a good idea - so I am hoping to get a single sided application done. Problem is, we can not seem to generate enough interested to warrant a run. Chieftang - anyone else reach out to you besides me?
  14. Start a thread for this Stilty. I am sure that a ton of people would be interested.
  15. It was looking good until that Insert. Are we looking at two different watches here? The crownguards look different from picture to picture as well.
  16. Tribal and PP, and anyone else who cares: I have a genuine crystal for a modern Sea Dweller. Here are the pictures for you to compare. Sorry for the lousy photos - but I don't have the best setup. So now you know what I know. Yes - what you see on the side of the genuine crystal is right. There is a strange notch in the crystal (from the side on the bottom side. You can sort of see that in the third picture. Not sure if this will help with the rehaut look. Also - the best ruler I have is shown. Not sure if this helps much - but the size does seem to be in the ball park. Hope that this helps. I am gathering up all my SD mods for a visit to the Zigmaster. Would love any input.
  17. Tribal - great looking mods. Thanks for the confirmation on the viability of the tube and crown. Does the sapphire look like it could be replaced? Or- did the etching on it look like something that could be fixed?
  18. Here is mine with gen dial. How do these hands look (they are from Gen1 watch)
  19. The Zigmeister just replaced mine. Well worth it. Incredible work as always.
  20. Great review. Thanks for putting this out. I only hope that everyone gets one as nice as the one you have.
  21. Wow - that is quite telling. Even with all the problems from the Cousteau? (the numbers lining up and the non-working inter bezel)?
  22. Wow - nice closeups. The 55 number looks off, the 12 hour markers are crooked, and the lume is a little sloppy. But - hey that is if you are looking at it with a magnifying glass. Looks pretty good to me.
  23. Yep - but my it won't happen till January - when my next shipment goes to the Zigmaster.
  24. Dude, that just sucks. Sorry you had to endure that. Of course, I am sure that it will be taken care of. With regard to the "inner bezel problem fixed" comment - what did you mean? Do you mean - that versus the Cousteau Diver, this one actually works smoothly?
  25. UGH - just 17 more to go. Come on folks!!!!
