  1. ssurfer, that is great news. I have tried both the Watchmen and the Chieftang in my 063 and stayed with the Chieftang because it was a little clearer. That said - you are correct. The Chieftang still has a fair bit of reflection. I will certainly want to take advantage of this when the next AR run happens. I also still have the crystal with the Watchmen on it as well. Which do you think is overall better? I think that the Watchmen is the correct size - but how is the distortion now that you can really see through it?
  2. Lello - you know how much I wanted these. Count me in for 2!
  3. Very nice pictures. I like both of those straps - but prefer your new one. It is very distinctive and not something you see every day.
  4. I wish that there was a movement which could be substituted - because this is a great watch and one that I have always wanted to have. Not sure that I like the chrome in the bracelet (never liked too much chrome on any watch bracelet) but other than that it is an attractive piece. However, secs at 6 is a major no no for me. I have no skills in watch fixing and don't want a eventual paperweight. Good review, and enjoyable discussion on the previous versions.
  5. Guys, I have been around alot - but it is summer time and not much has happened. We have all been awaiting the Rolex Sea Dweller, IWC Aquatimer, the Panerai Arktos GMT, etc. But it has been slow and not much exciting as driven interest. I am amazed that when the Arktos GMT and Northpole came out - there was no real response. Perhaps it is because prices are going to the moon and we all have to be more picky about what we purchase? I love the reviews By-tor, please keep them coming. I will get off my lazy butt a go back and post my opinions.
  6. Ahhh. Thanks for clearing that up. It certainly did not look anything like the earlier pictures.

  8. Where you successful in getting a open 6 and 9 datewheel from Cubic-works?
  9. Welcome back! Hope you had be great summer and ate at some good restaurants in New York
  10. Two of my favorites. Today (Finepics DW, ETA 2893, new cyclops, gen hands, re-lume) Tomorrow (gen dial, gen 7750)
  11. I think that it is great. I have the Titanium version which can not be purchased anymore - which my Bro has been hassling me to give him (not going to happen). I wonder if he will accept this SS version? How is the Bezel? One of the things that the Titanium version suffered from was a slight loose bezel.....
  12. Damn it - where is this thing!
  13. I think that I can help. 1. Yes - 826 are the right endlinks. 2. Yes - the 826's will fit the holes in the rep SMP chrono (just need to wiggle/bend a little) 3. No idea -if the 826 will fit an "old school regular SMP bracelet with pins". Do you mean an old school genuine bracelet or an old school replica bracelet. If genuine - then yes - it will work. if rep - i have no idea. Hope this helps.
  14. Looks pretty good. The black one is pretty appealing....
  15. I have a closed 6 9 dateoverlay from cubic-works that I did not use. PM me if you want it. I was trying to get open 6 and 9 date overlays from them and they send closed to me.
  16. Where can you see a picture of the black dial with Red lettering?
  17. I second that that request. I have a gen dial already installed - but need that DATEWHEEL!!!!!
  18. Excellent lume job. Nice to see the 9 marker back. Now - if only they would fix the GMT hand size.....

    MBW 93150

It will show up with solid - unless something has changed very recently.
  20. I am a little concerned about the rehaut - looks a little too conical. Not sure why that happens. Also - i do wish they could use a different movement so that the crown was higher - like the 2892. That is expensive - so i know it is very unlikely.
  21. I get aggravated as well when something shows up on my doorstep - and it is not as per expectation. Even with all of the research and great reviews on the board - you still need to be pretty lucky to get a "perfect" rep. The way that we examine things - you can always find a fault. However, my currently attitude is this: I do not buy anything that I would not spend money on to fix - and I fully expect that I will have do to so. In the end, I always like upgrading regardless of how good it is. Once you become comfortable with that - reps are tons of fun!
  22. Cool topic. Always fun to see people prioritize. Here's my lineup if I had to limit: Work: Omega Seamaster Chrono Travel: Omega Seamaster GMT Weekend: Rollie 1665 Evening: BCE Sport: Omega 45 PO
  23. I think that their response is really hit or miss. I purchased two overlays from them. They arrived, but were the wrong ones. I was hoping for open 6 and 9's as you show in the picture, but ended up with closed 6 and 9s - for a modern Rollie. I did not bother to try them back as others have said that getting something at all was lucky. Others have had better luck and better communication - but i was not willing to invest the likkely time and aggravation. Good luck.
  24. Lello - to update - i would like mine to be black with white numbers. Sorry i didn't specify.
