Semi-Final sample pics, dial color corrected, will be released soon, please stick to my dealer section for the release of this watch.
I have reported to the watch maker that this one is still too black... hope this watch will be released soon... sign...
Actually - now that i look at the updated version - this GMT hand looks alot closer. The other must have been an earlier version.
But - the A in Panerai is now worse. It was better on the first pics in the post. Ugh
-
Borrowed a pic off the web. Yep - the GMT is way too big. That said - it is one of the best dials i have seen from a font/logo point of view.
-
The wood does not bother me. But the ship in the wood probably should not be raised as much.
Any those 5 minute markers. But, i am sure that will be fixed for the production model.
-
Nice!
-
That is really looking good. If they can clean up the minute markers and align them correctly - that is a winner.
-
Angus, this looks really nice - can you get them to fix the cross bar on the "A's" in Panerai?
-
The one in your picture is an ETA.
The one in the first post is identified as a "CLONE 2824", which it is not, it's a DG something or other, not a SW200, which is the Clone 2824. Don't even get me started on the Lemania 1874 copy, or the Unitas movements...why can't they just get it right, it's not that hard to do...

Thanks Rob. I get it. So if I purchase this from a dealer - and send to you for service - as i do with every watch that i purchase - and this is not in there - then they will have done a swaparoo. It is not a case of misprepresentation - it would be a case of outfight fraud.
At least the watch is being represented correctly.
Thanks for the clarification.

I am all confused now. Sorry for my ignorance. But this is a picture of the movement in the PO from one of our dealers. Are we saying that this is not an ETA? It has 2824 engraved in it. Or are we saying that the watch does not actually come with this in it - and someone does a swaparoo?

I am dying for a correct 063 dial. Davidsen's, however, is still not quite right. "Ultimate" makers - please produce!!!
-
If you want to do it right, you need a setup like this one, at Everestwatchworks.com:
But maybe your way could work....Let us know!
This is the coolest picture. Thanks for posting this. I have never seen such a thing before.
-
Hey - which model is this? Is it the blue one?
-
My ears were picking up a strange yawl in the air....
So here is the update you were asking me:
Printer is printing out the Inge DW proof, during this week.
Let's just hope they will be ok at the first trial.
WE ARE GETTING THERE!!!!
For the ones interested to the new DWs for the Breitling EVO...
...Please, help me to get some good reference pics of the numbers font, so that I will start producing those as well.
Lello,
Did the other thread help at all. There were alot of pictures in there.

Okay, so once again, who has the "best" 063 dial?? I just purchased the 2893-2 movement, the correct datewheel, and the GMT handset for the 2893-2 which is already C3 lumed. I'm ordering the 6.75mm cyclops once I decide on a total. And now I need the dial. Should I go with Joshua, Davidsen, or something else entirely!!
Thanks 063 experts!!

Josh/Trusty. my 2 cents

60 sweet clicks each one a charm.
Where did this one come from? The pearl looks better than the ones from our usual dealers - or am i looking in the wrong place?
-
That is downright insane.
-
I also have the 6MM cyclops. I am certainly no expert - but does shape have anything to do with this? When I look at genuine PAMs in the AD, the cyclops does also have distortion - but it is pushed more to the edges. If you look more directly head on with a genine - it looks very clear. On my watchmen, it is still distorted.
Moving to the 6.75, while incorrect, if less distorted, will be more believable. I doubt people could see the .75mm difference or would even be looking for that. But distortion is something that even my wife can pick up.

I agree that the dial is 'off' but only in the A, where the crossbar is too low. However the numbers are closer (in a tighter circle) on the gen 'A' series, 'T' dial only. The rep watches replicate the 'B' series watches with the L dials where the wider number spacing is 100% correct. Please don't be put off by this detail as this is a common misconception regarding the 029 and 063.
Get the datewheel, Palp crown and cyclops and, based on the older 2893 rep, you will have the most accurate, top quality Panerai rep. I love my 029. The best thing about these is that few Paneristi will have seen a 'B' series in the flesh and you are highly unlikely to be called out anywhere.
I lost placement on what we were talking about. I am talking about the b series 063. The A crossbar is off, yep agree on that. The point i was trying to mention is that the numbers around the dial (1-24) and probably the seconds ticks are printed too inward. That is why my genuine hands are still too long. There are other good threads on this. Are you saying that the replica mistakenly replicated the A series dial?
Sorry if i am a little confused.
The rep B dial itself looks great. Printing, etc. I just wish they would reprint with corrected A's and slightly closer to the edge with the numbers. Other than that - it is great.
The 029 is printed differently - not talking about that.

Couple of quick comments:
1. The dial is off on both. However, Josh/Trusty's is better. I which they would fix it though - as the numbers are closer in on the dial than the gen and the A in Panerai is wrong.
2. 6MM is more correct, but the watchmen version has too much distortion. Go for the 6.75MM version when it is available, if it magnifies more clearly.
3. Handsets come up on fleabay every so often - so wait for it!
4. Use a real 2893 (if you can get the handset). More gen and better movement.
This is my favorite PAM. I just wish the dial options were better. Argh.... Perfection is always tough.
-
is it me or does the black one have the wrong date font??
They both basically have the wrong date font. The gray is a little better - but not bold enough and the single digit numbers are not even close.
-
The gen TT photo looks very familiar.
Ditto for the MBW/TW GMT Master. It's the first thing that catches my eye on these guys.
16610. Looks much better now that I've finally installed the OEM spring bars.

@Jetsons - where did you get that GMT master - it looks great! I have not seen that from MBW.
-
@mmq - that bezel pearl is better than usual. Where do you get that one from? Did it come with the watch - what dealer?
-
@chieftang - any update on how to order from you? Bump for good measure. Also - just in case i did not see a new thread created for that purpose.
-
@lovepanerai - what is the model number for the Ball Pen? I could not find that anywhere on Sash's site. He did have a rollerball version - but could not see the ball pen.
Thanks!

Great pics. Now - if only some company in China would start to make better pearls!
