  1. I love the subs too - but the loose bezel is too much for me to deal with. Also, alot of the earlier ones had the bezel markers fall out and get lost - which totally sucked.
  2. Very nice - I am digging this. Can you give a picture of a two numeral date like 18 or something. I want to see what the date looks like that way. The two bangs dw is supposed to have a larger second numeral like the gen. Also can you provide a link and dealer where you bought this one?
  3. Well done guys - the L dial is genuine. I am actually pretty amazed at the T dial from DSN (not his latest. This one is from awhile ago). But, I got a gen L and wanted to do the side by side. Only you experts could pick that out. Man on the street - no way.
  4. Which is it - the T or L dial? Lets get it on!
  5. Also - not to harp on Yuki - but look at these lug holes - is one of these slightly in the wrong place? Has anyone recieved one of these cases - what do you think?
  6. I am still hoping that one day Yuki will sell the 1665 white caseback (with the Rolex around the caseback versus the one they have which is made for the double red. Anyone know where to get that 1665 whiteletter caseback?
  7. It is a great watch. I have one - my only wish is that I could source a gen dial or a rep one made for a 7753. I would then swap in the right movement and get rid of the sunken datewheel. But, they never made a 7753
  8. When you say you go the new version - which one and where?
  9. okabum - what case did you use to start with?
  10. This watch is f'ing crazy. Incredible. Congrats. Formula please!
  11. Can someone here give me a little helping hand? What stem size for a 2892? Thanks!
  12. In case a list if forming - i would go for a correctly engraved display caseback for a DSN 6152 case.
  13. Folks, Who is willing to do this mod? If I remember the posts from ages ago - it requires drilling the case with two different diameter drill bits, grinding some areas in the case for the "holder piece". Not a trivial mod. If anyone has gotten good at this mod - would love to know.
  14. Lanikai, I must be dense - so let me see if I understand this correctly: 1. Buy clarks crystal 2. Remove cyclops, and send to Chief for AR (double sided) 3. put cyclops back on the appropriate side (top), and then remove the AR from the top. The cyclops will cover the tops AR which is under the cyclops 4. Remove AR from the bottom side EXCEPT for the area under the cyclops. If I got that right, then I have one question. How do you remove the AR from the bottom, except for the area under the cyclops. You said that you tape it. Do you tape over the cyclops area (along the straight top and bottom lines of the cyclops for instance) and then remove. Etc. etc. If so, how did you make the curves? Sorry for all the questions. This is an incredibly cool mod. Best
  15. where did these pictures come from? Do you have this watch yourself?
  16. Looks pretty good. Dial print still needs a little work (still has the low bar "A"'s in PANERAI. But everything else looks quality. I hope that they make a 7753 version of this. Where did you get it. None of the usual suspects dealers is carrying these. I wonder why? The bracelet is something that i know many are looking for....
  17. Wolf, there are many who have tried, none that I know of who bhave been successful without gluing it in. Rumor has it that gen Panerai gaskets work -- but who can get those. I am looking for this myself -- but woth no luck for nearly a year. Perhaps Oferi?
  18. MBW - when did they start to make PAMs?
  19. Lani, Thank you very much for your contributions. I would love one or two if it pans out. Your tenacity is unparalleled and we all benefit. Have a great New Year! CSK
  20. blackbard, If you could add one feature - it would make these a standout. I have a Jimmyfu CG which I have on one of my reps. The defining factor behind a jimmyfu CG was the fact that he replicated the inner rubber washer/tube/thingy that makes the lever not wobbly and very gen like in action. Various of folks have fixes to the regular rep CG's (the hot glue method, new pin method, etc). But in the end, while good, none of these compares to the rubber pin sleeve thingy. So, try and rep that if you can. I remember seeing a post where someone bored out the pin hole a little more on their own and actually stuck the plastic sleeve of a certain guage electrical wire (very small of course) in the bored hole and put the pin into that. Apparently that worked pretty well. Not sure of the dimensions/CNC layout accounts for this - but if you are going to make a go of it - might as well shoot for the moon. Good luck!!!
  21. Lanikai, So does that mean that you are ar'ing the whole thing - both sides. Then putting the cyclops back on. Then removing it fully from one side, then removing if from around the replaced cyclops? I guess that way - it would be underneath the cyclops. Let us know if that works - would love the same done to mine if it works!
  22. The level of interest will be HIGH!!!
