  1. Thx man. Will wait for the 76100 insert then
  2. Another link: http://www.network54.com/Forum/207593/thread/1205697813/Comparing+some+AQ+Geneva+results+from+this+weekends+auction+makes+me+wonder---
  3. Does anyone know if the insert might fit? I know the 79090 tudor sports a plexi crystal as opposed to the 16610 sapphire. But i've not seen the 76100 bezel insert go up for sale lately. And i was planning on using it to build this with my nipple dial: http://catalog.antiquorum.com/catalog.html?action=load&lotid=204&auctionid=74 http://www.network54.com/Forum/207593/thread/1301626767/Help+%21%21%21+Rolex+Dial
  4. I love Audi, but their vintage history just can't hold a candle to merc's. Bose is good, don't get me wrong. They're just not great, and especially not at that price point. Back in the day, when i was using those sony all-in-one cinema systems, i thought Bose was the business. Then someone made me audition the B&Ws. It was like seeing in technicolour for the first time!
  5. Again, i'm with freddy. No way is Bose a merc analogue. If anything, i'd venture Bowers and Wilkins. Badass and not crazy expensive. But actually worth the money
  6. I agree completely with freddy! The gullwing is like the big crown sub!
  7. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It really breaks my heart too. This is why i've been fighting the urge to get another dog. I don't know if i can deal with the pain. On the other hand, there are so many pitiful dogs in the pound that need rescuing
  8. Patek is probably the rolls royce. Rolex has always struck me as mercedes benz, if one were forced to draw a comparison.Yknow. The vintage ones being prettier and more lust-worthy than the modern
  9. Damn, freddy, wish i could avail of your white dial too!
  10. Oooh la la. Say no more. Pm sent. Now awaiting reply
  11. Thanks nanuq. I'll contact him right away
  12. A friend of mine has a 6542 gen and he wants to use an aftermarket Bakelite bezel. Am I right to recommend joeyb's? It's the best in the market no? And gen spec?
  13. I don't know about the exact prices in the other countries, but i believe italy gives a bigger amount of tax back as compared to switzerland and france. A friend once told me daytonas are cheapest in romania. Personally, i've found rollies in general to be cheaper in Hong Kong for some reason
  14. Nope, no mods at all. "relax" is a japanese brand i believe.
  15. Haha thanks guys! Nah, it has sentimental value, this one. Besides, it's the only "gen" Newman i can ever afford Speaking of which, this has spurred me to hunt down the not-so-subtle newman ripoff by omega
  16. A while ago, i promised to upload pics of my NEWMAN! Now here it is. I'm not quite familiar with how to upload pics so please bear with me:
  17. Yeah it's not exactly cheaper in switzerland...
  18. Amazing stuff! Thanks for taking the time to educate us!
  19. Sixx, i'm so sorry to read about what happened. What a piece of trash. He's one load his mother should've swallowed
  20. This is sweet! I have the normal SS rep version and i love it but for the fact that it's too big for me fairy wrists Still... if they rep this i'm gonna get it
  21. C'est magnifique!
  22. Thanks guys! I love RWG!
  23. He's got a daytona dial on offer too....
  24. So i lost out on this coz i don't employ the use of the last-min snatch bid thing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/230964050903?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Was it a close shave or am i a big-time loser?
  25. If memory serves, freddy's 6542 whitey is as good as it gets. I seem to recall it being painted by the same white, that is used in the dial factory or so...
