My hero, freddy has enlightened me to the fact that the 1030 and 1530 diameters are the same but the crown locations may be different. Does anyone know if this is possible at all? I've a 1030 from pBdad and am hoping to use it

I always felt mercs were the rollies of the road. Nothing like a beautiful vintage merc. I've had the opportunity to own/drive 3 mercs prior to my most recent one. A 2003 CLK230. The previous 3 were stellar and felt like they were built to last. However, my 2003 CLK 230 is a stinking steaming POS too! Bought from a dealer with star-class warranty in May. Was supposed to be almost NOS (shame on me for believing that crap). Has broken down twice already, and the mOFOs made me pay both times! Sigh, thing is, it still looks so beautiful from the outside...all that glitters is not gold and all that...

If i could find a 203 dial (that doesn't cost me a kidney), i'll just build it w an alarm 240 for the hell of it!

Calling upon all the illuminated minds in this international community again! Has anyone had any experience staying in a town which provides easy access to Cinque terre in italy? I'm thinking of heading there for a couple of days, but was advised to stay in a town just at the precipice as Cinque Terre itself may be a pain in the ass to negotiate via car. So far from what i can glean online, some recommend Santa Margherita, whilst others levanto. La Spieza is another, but apparently isn't as pretty a town? Thanks for the help guys!

Guys, any idea which case will be able to accommodate a 26mm dial? Is it just the phong one? Dsn's is too big. I'm even checking out the homage makers in this quest. So far i've deduced that the precista 50 may be a contender, but the corvus, mkII and helson may not be....
