  1. This happened to me on my PO Chrono, bought from Joshua, he replaced the bracelet. I searched around a bit on-line and there were no alternatives from OEM aside buying a new bracelet. This is, or at least was, a weak link in the rep Omega bracelets and very common. If the watch is relatively new, and depending on where you sourced, the dealer should consider a return and/or replace. Good luck. ps I did consider drilling out the remaining portion of the mushroom 'rivet', tapping the hole to fit a small SS pan head screw and shaping as necessary to fit the clasp. I'm sure that would have worked, but Joshua was very amenable. If my second bracelet fails I will go this route. Good luck.
  2. Yeah Tt, I'm of this mind too, and wouldn't think of throwing disparaging comments around to those who come, read, ask a few cursory questions, hook up with a reputable dealer, show a wrist shot, say thanks then go.........As that is the RWG 'site mission statement' or at least it was on the old board and I believe it carried over here, but I think Oren perpetuated, by design, a lot of "yeah, but, yeah buts" to his own amusement. Some of the 'Shoutout Box' dialogue was, uh, belabored. I kept wondering when 'Lanikai' was going to drop the shoe. He never did aside some tongue-in-cheek albeit 'hard to miss' remarks. Oh well, they come, they go, they return, they don't. 'Zackly.
  3. Good points, and depending whom you ask, arguments can be made to the effect that ETA/ETA Valjoux can hold a COSC and a reliability/performance standard to any Rolex in-house chronometer/chronograph movement. I dunno, I've always enjoyed qualifying my replicas w/ETA as having said same Swiss movements that are standard in some high end wrist watches i.e. Tag, Bell&Ross, Hublot, Cartier, Corum, UN others, about 90% others; "Yeah it's a replica, but it has a Swiss movement like a Tag Heuer, so it's a good watch" carries a little more weight than "It's a replica watch, through and through. They even copied the movement. It's all an Asian knock-off" Hmmmmm. Anyhoo, I find it amusing. The opinions here from rep owners to 'copied' movements are those largely held by genuine watch owners with regard to replica in any degree; "Everyone will know it's a fake. Why bother? Seems kinda stupid." Funneh.

Nice guns. You look like one of those hard hittin' extras on the old '5-O' show. One of Wo Fat's posse. Coo.
  5. OMG! I laughed so hard the dog came in the room to see; Wazza? I need one of these.
  6. This entire episode reminds me of the classic conundrum of history; When Ponce de Leon first set gaze upon the land that is now known as St. Augustine, Florida: "Icebergs. I thought I would find icebergs. Let's get the hell out of here and go back to Spain." The End.
  7. Beautiful Doc. I have a lot of smart assed sass talk for ".......not a lot of people......after a 30-40 mile hike", ".....boats" and "......the Sierra Club", but just this once I'm gonna demure to the photographer's eye. Purdy. Thanks.
  8. Point taken. I was belaboring the point for amusement (personal). Trolling if you will. All this over a '[censored]'. I think this is where the 'Bard would step in. Fodder for. Shakespeare could get five acts out of this thread. RWG? A few triads. At least. Look for 'Joshua' as Antonio, 'Pugwash' playing the part of Shylock. Oh the silvery.
  9. Just when you think you're out? They drag you back in. I've always wanted a GMTII Ceramic. Maybe I'll do this. Always just in it for the ha-ha's. I think these rep movements are the bomb. Funneh, the difference a few hours makes. Just this morning 'mimic' movements took the brunt. Now they're Raphael.
  10. On second thought, could you please upgrade your membership and then go? Your free membership probably saved you $300 in the 'world'. TIA OK, now; Bye.
  11. TT, Time to start combining some threads. There have been enough with regard to weave a houndstooth sport coat.
  12. .........and I never saw it coming. That's what hurts the most.

lol JB you stud! Get back on stage brudduh! OK everyone post their "I'm a stud" pics. Here's a young Demseh, working his way through Flight School on a Long Line boat. 'Lanikai' taught me the Hawaiian name for this fish; Ehu. I wonder what is Polynesian for 'Big Ass Ehu' What a life. In between semesters I did the "Melville" thing. At school I did the "Saint-Exupery" thing.
  14. THAT'S IT!! Sorry, we were discussing Turn-O-Graph's in another thread JJ. I thought I totally fabricated the Roulette date wheel in my convoluted head................. This is a gorgeous DateJust. The 'classiest'. So very happy for you. Goes without saying, but, Enjoy!
  15. I wish I could go back in time to 2003 and post a WM9 bklm Sub with this movement on RWG in a 'Real or Rep?' thread. I'd, like, be God.
  16. I did not know that, but it would make sense. Not a 'dive watch' per se`, but 'commando' a` la MilSub. If you read some of the text to the old Rolex magazine adds (dated well beyond this piece when it was fashioned after the DateJust) the strategy was to appeal to those who wanted an executive watch but also one at the ready, just in case 'adventure called'. It had a pretty decent depth range. Wouldn't ever imagine Bond wearing one, perhaps 'Q'. Or not. I love that.

Shoot Tt, P4 started it. I think 'Lanikai' made him cry.
  18. MmmmK, thank you pb. Not a gun hobbyist, just needed the one, and bought the model 22. Love that receiver. Just don't drop it in the field...............you'll never find it. lol Gotta love a marketing scheme that pairs a CWP hand gun with 'sniper' camo. I wonder what the orchestators of Ch. 790 think about that? Enjoy the watch.................
  19. lol I might have known. I can't believe I missed your original 6202 post. What a beautiful watch. A lot of challenges there for rep/Franken. As per your comment in that thread; sourcing the 'Sub style' T-O-G dial is doable? A conquest in and of itself. If you do the 'Albino'? Forget the MBE, you'll be in line to the Templar Knights............
  20. That's funny. As long as Joshua's getting a piece. If he's not? He's gonna send 'round some hard hitting medieval mofo's to kick some azz..........I betcha.
  21. Oh for heaven's sake. Just tell the little darlings 'Humpty' was pushed. By the Conservatives.
  22. Yeah, that was a good call. The red seconds hand was a boasted 'feature' from Rolex. The rep should have that. I was kicking around my own archive and am thinking the 'roulette' date wheel may have been a replica 'fantasy' accoutrement. Just too much infos in these past years to keep it all straight. However, I did find a pic of the original, Turn-O-Graph circa 1954 (?) pre-dating the Sub. Somewhere along the line they decided to leave the more 'sport' branch for the more executive 'DateJust' profile. Still, cool watch.....this awta get all those 'vintage Rolex Rep' guys' tongues wagging. C'mon T'J, be the first one on your block!
  23. Great j. Love the Turn-O-Graph. As T'J alluded it's an often overlooked Rolex. These were more popular on the older RWG. Hmmmmmm. It's been a while since I did or read the research, does this model have the Roulette (alternating black and red) date wheel?
