The part is available. I am currently fixing one for a member here who had the same issue with DIY.
Be careful next time. I gentle tug is enough to remove the subdial counters

Ok...so it was my bad. I sent the two watches to the wrong address =(
Both watches were sent back and now they are distributed to the right owners....hand my head in shame...
Sorry for the commotions guys.
-
your best bet now is to look for 2nd hand watches on ebay that houses a 2824 or equivalent.
How these ETA standard movements went from 60-70 to 120 in such short time is beyond me.
-
oh you wanted hands....sorry. You will need to purchase the stock boxed asian movement set. It comes with about 50 different hands. I don't think most watch supply places are willing to sell them separately by individual sets.
-
hands will not fit the replica movement.
-
thanks for the support guys...really appreciate it.
Do paypal have the authority to take money out of your bank account? I always thought that was not within their rights. Does anyone know exactly?
I have yet to hear back from the other buyer, who really should have recieved it by not. Will keep you guys updated with this situation.

he's a little too rough looking - so wrinkly too. I liked Pierce Brosnan.

The best tip I ever picked up on this board about selling items online and using Paypal. Never ever leave an amount of more then 50$ on you Paypal account. After you have receive funds from a buyer always immediately transfer the funds to you back account.
I don't think that works very well. my account was $0 when they filed the dispute. Now i'm -$300
I finally realized that ebay is such a POS for sellers. I think cash and bank deposit will be the only way now.
-
I will be as brief as possible, but this is a matter I am VERY passionate about... Chances are there isnt much that you can do. I have nearly $200k go through my business Paypal account every month, and we have similar situations arise at least 5 times per month. Paypal will always find in favor of the buyer. I have never had a television remote sent back, but I had a $1500 guitar sent back in pieces (not taken apart... smashed).
As was suggested above, you will need to go through all of the processes. Document everything, be as polite and understanding as you can physically stand without vomiting and hope for the best.
BUT be aware of this, the buyer may also file a dispute with their credit card company. MOST credit card companies DO NOT require proof that the item was returned. If the credit card company authorizes the reversal, Paypal WILL take the money from you. Even if they find in your favor now and release the funds... They can come back months later and take it again.
wow....thats scary....thanks for the info. I may have to stop offering paypal as a payment method. Too much at stake.

Thanks for the relpy Offshore,
Well paypal have already taken the money out of the account, i'm still waiting to hear from the other buyer, what a pain! but I guess I can only blame myself for mixing the watches up (I remembered double checking...strange). Both buyers located in Victoria, all 100% feedback. Hopefully she sends me the watch so i can get it all sorted out.
thanks again.

Hi guys.
Ok I got a situation. I have sold 2 genuine TAGs (one ladies and one gents) on ebay to two different buyers. However, one has told me that she recieved a gents watch instead of a ladies watch. So i'm presuming i've mixed up the addresses. So i contact the other buyer and told him about a possible mix up, he has yet to recieve the package so i'm waiting for an update from him.
Yesterday, this female buyer files a dispute on Paypal saying "item recieved not as described". On top of that, she insist that its Fake. I can assure you I don't sell fake watches so i'm finding this a little suspicious - wrong watch and now not genuine TAG. Of course, Paypal deducts the amount from my paypal account and now i'm thinking about my own protection.
As of currently, she wants to return the watch and ask for a refund, I'm happy to give the refund if she wants but i'm worried that she's going to mail me a tv remote control instead of a watch - and try to scam me (one guy did, ask for refund and then sends me back the strap of the watch only!)
Question is, what can i do to protect myself from letting such above example from happening? I really don't want to be down a watch and the money.
Any advice and suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

@ bazz,
Returning back to Sydney in May - PM so i can pick a few up for you.
but are the easy to inset in the strap, or do you have to make the hole of the rubber strap bigger??Thanks
You will need to make the hole a little bigger in the strap. Not that hard really.

very fake.
they did not even make a black 007 limited edition. The seller is very obnoxious to claim authenticity on such a POS.
-
btw....that is one really solid looking watch. Must have taken replicating to another level. The attention to detail is amazing....I DONT wanttttt to waste anymore money on watchesssss
I have 4 SMPs - 007 SMP, White GMT, Electric blue SMP, Bond SMP.
I have 1 vintage 300.
I have 1 Railmaster
I have 1 PO
I have 1 Speedmaster

I'm going to have to disagree on this. Plexiglas crystals don't 'absorb' water in any way. But in my experience, Plexiglas crystals lose their seal to the case much more frequently, and with greater ease, than a glass or sapphire crystal. Based on the fact that this piece was modded with a genuine crystal, I'd look there for the leak (it may not have been a perfect fit), and then the case tube (doubt the crown leaked, but the case tube may not have been sealed very well to the case).
SR
sorry, now that i read my post again I realise the misleading information. You are right - it doesn't actually ABSORB water. But it is more prone to leaking. Thank you for clarifying it. =)
-
plexi (plastic) crystals will absorb water over time. It isnt like glass/sapphire where it is virtually water resistent.

MB - is the ST18 not reliable in your experience?
quite reliable from previous experience. Good to give it a oil though.
-
did you file a claim with paypal Franciso? She still does not reply and tracking number shows that she already received my watch on 29th!
ahh... 29th is 2 days ago. You may want to give her a little more time.
-
the ST-18 is quite expensive. Cousins sells it for almost $70USD. I mean for that price, you may as well go with the good old reliable 2824.
-
Ok,
From my experience. I have done a few swaps for customers and for myself and from what i remember, as long as the movement within the watch is the 2824 movement, installing a 2892 is no problem. I had no issues with hands or the alignment.
You have the green light.

GREAT LOOKING WATCH!
the AR does so much difference.
a little too big for your wrist though IMO - the lugs sit over your wrist =S

thanks HD.
Do let us all know what the ultimate verdict is. I would love to purchase the blue dial (kinda over the black SMP now)

I have this same strap from silix and I find it to be quite nice. Its never going to be like the genuine one but for the price, i'm very happy. What a great alternative to the stainless steel.
It goes well when you go swimming/beaching/outdooring. Light and easy on the arm.
