  1. silix-prime.com has it for around USD 180 wth the Russian movement I think.
  2. How much does it cost to make a new dial? or is davidsen making some?
  3. We have Breitling using French on their watches, and the word Tachymetre with the accent on the first e Some German words can be far too long though.
  4. Agreed. Something like 001 or 007 (on a James Bond Omega rep) or 123 etc are obviously dodgy. A random number is nice as long as no one is trying to pass it off as a genuine sale. And that's the problem.
  5. I just hope it comes with a 7753 at a reasonable price. If it's like the PAM196 and 188 price I'll be happy. I have to wait on this as it is, *all* my money has gone into watches lately, so I need to save up some more.
  6. I know a few girls who are crazy about Orlando Bloom... but then they are in the age range of 18-21.
  7. Seems to be rare to see a Swiss watch with German - at least I don't see many... German is not seen as a "sexy" language... though I can tell you some German women can make it sound VERY sexy
  8. The French (from France) are very condescending when it comes to their language and believes everyone should speak French. It's all Greek to me. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  9. My first purchase was from him too, got it the next day. No problems at all.
  10. Could you help me do the same job on one too if I got the ETA version?
  11. Is the spray something like this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=6053759467
  12. It's about scratch resistance. Sapphire crystal shouldnt scratch while mineral with. I'm not sure of the relative strengths to breakages though it would follow that sapphire is tougher. By the way, is the display back also mineral crystal, and does this include both front and back?
  13. I'm thinking about it (depends on price), but wondering whether I should get the Asian 7750 version or the Swiss ETA 7750 version. Finepics, you got me onto this watch, any advice? Is it possible to replace the plastic retaining ring on the ETA 7750 with a metal one? As you can tell, I havent got one yet. I was leaning towards the Asian 7750 one at the moment due to the engraved rotor if nothing else. I'll be placing an order with silix so any advice is welcome.
  14. Did you get one? Is it one of the old or new versions?
  15. 196 with 7753 is/was around 700 as well.
  16. i was wondering this too. the asian 7750 is around 250-275 i think and has the correct engraving on the back, which is more accurate because of the display back. None of them have sapphire crystal as far as i know, it's anti-scratch treated plexiglass. There are only two registers, so maybe fewer problems with the Asian 7750 perhaps or is this wishful thinking? I'd like to know which one is better to get.
  17. There you go And to everyone Precious Time is known as PT and NOT Paul or Pure Time or Angus.... hopefully the confusion is now gone. As far as I know, Paul is with Aspire, and Pure Time is Angus. Both are based in the Far East. Precious Time is in the EU.
  18. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... I'll try it tonight when I am back from work... will be like 9 or 10pm. Let you know how it goes.
  19. And I see he is reading right now, can you let us know if you are also Paul? This is all getting a little confusing. I can say I have had one transaction with him, along with numerous emails, and he's been great.
  20. Thanks, I'll see if that works and let you know... though where do I put it? he screw head will cause the screw driver to slip even more.
  21. I'm trying to remove the lug screws (that is for the band) on a PAM196. One is easy, the other seems immovable, any tips? It's very frustrating!
