  1. Congrats with your purchase, Andrew is a top 'collector' I'm going to bite the bullet and get myself one of these very soon. Any chance of some pics?

    Navitimer

Not sure why anyone would bid on this, it looks like junk........ http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Breitling-Navitime...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. The IWC Pilot is a nice looking watch, a Navitimer on a strap is stunning to look at. Or what about the new IWC Costeau that looks very nice!
  4. In reply to the Bentley, as far as I know the only Bentley's that have a brushed finish are the Bentley Motors T, and the Bentley GT racing. The normal Bentley GT has a polished case and bracelet.
  5. Great work, and these new Sub's look very good! Looks like another one on my wanted list!
  6. Well I've managed to prise the SFSO from my wrist, and I have replaced it with this Breitling Aerospace Harrier Ltd Ed Shot with the BCE
  7. TTK that is beautiful! Do they use in house movements or are they ETA based movements??
  8. I would imagine form the pics and dimensions it will wear to a similar size as the BCE or Superocean Steelfish
  9. That has come out well! How did you go about rinsing it after being immersed n the bleach?
  10. Zed don't worry about the AR and HE Valve on the SMP chrono they are both correct for that model. The chrono version (gen) has the HE Valve smack on the 10 o'clock marker, and there is no AR either, apart from the bezel and the screws instead of pins in the bracelet you have a stunning and very accurate watch
  11. Sorry cableguy, didnt mean to infer that you specifically were going to fool anyone, just that if one were trying to fool someone then my following statement would apply. Yes it does, I used to own a civic VTi (USA theyre the Si as far as I know) I sold her in the end as I wasn't driving regularly enough to warrant keeping her. Wish I hadn't as the next few drivers really abused her, but a friend of mine is now restoring it. Are you into Honda's?
  12. Well after ordering the Breitling on Friday, it turned up this morning. Great service by the dealer, and excellent communication. I have posted a rough history of my search for this watch, but I'l give a brief outline. About three years ago I started becoming interested in watches, Breitling in particular. I took a shining to the Aerospace, mainly due to its simplistic design, and functionality. I then found out that Breitling every so often released special editions, one of which was the Harrier Edition. I knew I had to buy it. I sourced one about a year ago, but unfortunately missed out on it. A whole year later, I managed to get my hands on one. (Please excuse my poor pictures the camera isn't all that good, but it gives a rough idea) First up, the box itself, the 'professional series' boxset..... AR shot. The Breitling AR is very heavy. Turns a vey deep blue/purple in some lights, and the crystal disappears in low light situations. A rather blurred shot of the band and the watch case. The aerospace was manufactured with performance in mind. It is constructed from Titanium, and is incredibly light! A wrist shot with my pride and joy in the background A wrist shot with a BCE Here are a few pics provided by the dealer... Overall I am very impressed. I am glad I have finally got my holy grail watch. The quality of the watch itself is amazing. The bracelet is very good (slightly flimsy due to being so light). The clasp closes really nicely, and the bezel rotates much differently from the reps I have. Thanks for reading B16a2
  13. If it's a Chrono Avenger (44mm) then yes, if it's meant to be the Super Avenger (48ish mm) then it's just a not very well made rep. There is one that somebody sourced that wasn't all that bad, but if you want something in terms of quality like the new Steelfish, unfotunately we haven't been graced with one......yet
  14. I put AR, but also the complete luck of the draw in terms of whether you get a watch with straight markers or wonky ones etc.. I know it's a rep and if I want QC buy a gen, but it would be nice to see consistently made watches.
  15. If anyone asks I always tell them it's a rep, and more often than not they are surprised by the quality, especially the new 'super reps'
  16. Welcome to the board. Well that last question all depends on how you wear it. If you wear them to 'fool' people then people will be curious as to where you have got your new found stash if money. If you are in a very high paid job they may just think you have found a new hobby. For me I wear them as reps and friends and family know which are reps, if Im on the street and someone says 'nice watch' I thank them, but if I am outright asked, then I tell them. 'wow is that gen?' - No its a rep I haven't really been approached by someone in the street, but Ive seen people looking, but my family and friends are amazed at the quality of the reps that are available.
  17. I concur. I missed these being released, they look very good quality!! I can see another bank bashing period coming on. And Chief, it looks brilliant on your Navitimer, in my opinion, there is no better combo! (thread hijack )
  18. I think that is a gen strap and deployment. It would be for the Super Avenger, Bentley, or Navitimer World EDIT - DIDNT REALISE A NEW DEPLOYMENT WAS OUT, IT COULD WELL BE A REP
  19. Lovely collection. I would say a Breitling would be a welcome addition to the collection (being unbiased of course ) The white dial BCE on brown strap is an awesome watch!
  20. I think gen is the only way to go at the moment. They do have a much better feel than the replica rubber straps I own. I have a Panerai one which has been put to shame in terms of 'feel' by a genuine strap. Try an AD they might give you a better price, but Im not sure how much the RRP is on these things. The seller that the link goes to on eb@y is always getting hold of them so there's no rush. Do buy it though
  21. Here are some Vnema took; http://www.rwg.cc/members/Breitling-SFSO-o...rap-t23342.html
  22. I don't know of any dealers who stock them, or even if they're produced. Best bet is to get hold of a genuine, they're not too expensive, and can be bought from eb@y, or from and AD..... http://cgi.ebay.com/BREITLING-BRAND-NEW-RU...1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. Welcome to the board! Don't worry about stupid questions, one piece of advice to anyone new here is to research the forums first find out what you can and then ask stupid questions, goes down much better Enjoy it, and be prepared to spend alot!
  24. Uh oh, you've bought a Panerai, now you're going to be hooked, better prepare the wallet for some regular emptying! Welcome to the board!
