  1. Great idea Lani.

Im in to help out if I can.

    We could draw up a list of willing mentors, and then have someone attach the new members to that list as they introduce themselves. That would prevent us all jumping the same member. So when a new member joins the forum, that name could be added to the next available mentor eg;

    Member A - New Member X

    Member B - New Member Y

Member C - Awaiting assignment to member

There would be nothing to stop adding multiple members to each mentor, and nothing to stop us adding new mentors as and when they want to volunteer.

  2. As far as I know, the V1 had a good dial with lume in the right places, but it didn't come with AR.

The V2 came with subdials that wren't recessed enough and no lume on the markers.

The V3 comes with markers that are slightly too thick and a coating of double AR.

I am pretty sure that the dealers only stock the V3 now, the one that is linked to certainly ticks all of the boxes to be a V3.

  3. Ah ok I know what you mean now. This should be a very simple case of removing the hand and re-installing it if it isn't on the hand post properly. This would be a very simple job for a watchsmith. I would try that first before sending it back, it would probably cost lest too!

  4. I have never driven one, but as a whole, Audi build some great cars, with very good engines.

The older TT's (the first batch) were supposedly a bit of a nightmare to drive hard on twisty roads, but as an everyday car they're very good.

If you're after a good roadster also have a look at the Honda S2000 (one of the best in it's class), the Mazda Mx-5 (a legend in its own right) and also if you want something German, the BMW Z4 is a great little car!

  5. I agree with the above, but also notify your dealer of the problem. If you don't notify them, and then 3 weeks later you get a bill from the watchsmith that is quite large and then you tell the dealer of the problem, they will just say 'why didn't you tell me you could have sent it back'

Get quote from your local watchsmith and if it is something simple have it fixed. If it's something more complicated that will cost more, you can go back through your dealer, who you would have notified of the problem.

  6. thats th QOS PO that evey dealer has, besides andrew's new one

it has some flaws, but im sure ur wife would like it! it has an UPO structure

    a cheapie?! how much?!

Just to clarify the one pictured above is not the UPO based QOS PO (sorry about the acoronyms haha)

That is the cheaper and less accurate version which is the predecessor to the UPO based QOS which has just been released. The easiest tell is the wrongly placed He valve

  7. They would not have a sunken datewheel on the 12-9-6 Navitimer configuration.

Yeh that's why I want the Fighters Edition as that's the one with the 12-9-6 configuration.....we can only pray :)

totally agree, that is the missing watch in my collection...already thought of bying the gen but the watch will not have so much wrist time since it is only 42 mm

@ b12a2, that is an easy mod to raise it up

I haven't seen any datewheel mods on the 7750 tri-compax as the gears prevent you from laying it on another datewheel?

EDIT - just seen Andreww's post, it would help if I read the whole thread before replying haha :bangin:

  8. this model isn't new, it has been out for at least 4 months

i like it, but the laser engraving isn't sharp enough, same logo issue and the serial on the back that seays "0001/5001" is just stupid!!

if they make a newer version ill be sure to buy it

This isn't the same version that Watcheden has had for sale for the past 'x' months. This one is based on the UPO by looks of it. The crown is much better and so is the pearl.

  9. but the price?500$?its normal?thanks

It is far far below the usual asking price. Like I say, if he will meet face to face and give you the watch pictured for cash then go for it, if he wants an internet and Paypal deal, I would look elsewhere - you wont get anything like what is pictured. If something is too good to be true...it usually is!

  10. Here's the video:

It's such a small world. 'Chief [censored]' as he is named is actually a helicopter pilot and owns his own training school. I work voluntarily at weekends in a local flying club that shares the hangar space with his helicopter school! I see him around all the time, I think he has a Frank Muller too!

  11. I take it with a large pinch of salt. Like the new PO Chrono, I cannot believe they used a genuine, it looks like exactly the same casing as the predecessor but with a new movement.

Don't let the claims fool you into buying a watch, read the reviews, compare it to the genuine yourself, then make your own mind up if the factories really could have screwed up on some of the flaws if they had a genuine in front of them on all of these watches! Some of them are used with the real thing I am sure, others I find it hard to believe!

  12. So whats the difference between V2 and V3???

Pearl surrounds are different, the chrono pushers were too long on the V1 (not sure if they still are) and the V3 uses PVD instead of DLC like the V2, so the V3 is far too dark in comparison to the genuine.

What is the size of the strap? I hear 24mm, but your link is 22mm? I need to shop for a new strap for mine while I wait for delivery :)

The Skylands are all 22mm at the lugs. The Super Avengers are 24mm.
