I would be more than glad if i could get the dial from you but right now i am way out of budget...too many watches,too many mods and i also want to buy a gen Tudor Hydronaut Chrono so i will pass for now,although i would like to consider your offer in the near future(say a couple of months) in case you won't be able to find a case. BTW which color is the dial?if it is the white one i will have to pass since i already got the Gen white 16570 Thanks again Stephane,i am really honored John

Thanks B-T,comments like that make me feel great!!! Trust me my friend i have read your reviews more than 10 times before i start this project!!! As for the black dial i got to say that my untrained eye cannot spot the differences like some of the WIS and highly respected guys in here,but the lume...i really hate it,it screams "rep" from a distance in a low lighting condition. So my only two options is either get a gen dial or get the rep dial lumed by VAC or The Zigmeister. Maybe the second option i more preferable because the 2836-2 do not accept the gen hands so i will probably have to lume them either way...!!!

Well i am not quite sure about the bezel but since it has accepted the OEM clarks crystal i do not see the reason why it shouldn't accept a gen crystal as well...but i am no expert on this.

I think the GMT looks great with the strap,a perfect match with the off white dial!!!i totally agree with ya there!!! As for the Blackbird it looks even better with a thick black nato strap i got a couple of months ago,i will try to post some pics asap Mine is the black leather strap version,didn't get the ss bracelet version which of course was a stupid choise...i should have gotten the bracelet version...i also like it better...!!!

Also here is a couple of my Blackbird shots...i consider it to be a pretty decent rep although in an artistic ecstasy of mine i painted the bezel markers with black paint!!!just to try the look of it

Gen dial will be my next move... I got to say guys...although i already own the gen article(white dial 16570) i got more excited trying to gather all the parts together for the mods to be done properly,and i feel happier now that it is sitting on my wrist than i was when i bought the genuine...!!!well this is the true spirit of our hobby and RWG i guess...

I sorry that the pics do not do justice to Domenico's work I will post some better tomorrow with a better camera and lighting conditions at the weekly wristcheck

I am still trying to figure out why would someone get in to all that trouble to modify the movement to look like a 3135,since this mod 1)wouldn't be visible to anyone and 2)even if it was,who could have been fooled by that ugly looking mod!!! go figure... oh...it just hit me...it adds to the price increase thing!!! instead they could just fix that damn beveled window issue and make the dial look matte...at last...

I have just orderer the st47ibk : Marina Militare 47mm Black Pilot Dial Watch I got to say that their communication skills are more than perfect.They even asked me if i wanted to replace the strap to another in case i didnt like the one that was pictured with the watch. I asked the watch to be delivered through Worldwide Registered Airmail. I will post pics and impressions when i get it guys

Wow!!!and instead of losing one of the 60-70 spare bezels and dials that bloody idiot choose to lose the one and only watch that came with them...stupid agent.... well if only he had forgot his PPK in that luggage along with the watch...it would be a great combo me thinks!!!
