I'm quite liking the sound of 1, I like the slide lid idea. The markers that connect when it closes is a nice touch! I have to agree with Extra above though, there is a whole lot of Oakley going on in there from what I can tell. From a guy who owns quite a few of them! Would love a Gulf, just one good rep!! They do so amazingly well with all the other Tags, I think they are the best build quality and finish, out of the box, of any other reps I own. With a few mods they are incredile, so why do they make such a pigs ear of the Monaco, it's hardly the most complex design in the the world!! Sixx

Have a look on Josh's or another dealers site and compare the movement in yours to the movements advertised there. If there is a difference you will spot it. And yes I believe that all the movements have the cotes de Geneve 'swirl finish' on them. It's the way the movemnts parts look apposed to each other, not the finish. Sixx

It may have been the angle on the last one mate, the inner ring rotates using the crown at 10. It sits up from the inner tachy ring, so could have been the shadow of a slight overhang, it is a macro after all. I have the same model and you will not be dissappointed in it, it's an amazingly well made rep!! Sixx

There are a couple of the 'not so good' reps of this going around, might be worth waiting until one of the main factories makes one. The others are just cheap quartz or 21j fantasy jobs right now. Sixx

I was a Cisco Data and voice engineer before I fell ill (and a body piercer, but people tend to be WAY to preoccupied by the needle rather what you're wearing on your wrist, or on your body for that matter! That wee needle garners a lot of respect!! lol) Me and the other guys I worked with were all contractors/freelance consultants. One of the guys wore a coke GMT and drove a Porsche boxster, another guy wore and old casio and drove an old clapped out van but the kid was a genius and could wear and drive what he liked in my book!! Mainly no one knew much about watches other than me and Porsche boy, even going up to senior management level I think the best I seen was a PAM 112. Most were Armani, gucci crap like that. Stuff people think are real classy and cool until they realise that it costs buttons to make and is no better, if not worse, than a good Casio or Seiko!! Sixx
