  1. I have only seen once a dial like this for sale on ebay, and it's from DiamondCastle. It was sold for $300. I wish I had fund at that time b:(
  2. When you install gen dial, you'll have to relume those hands! Beautiful watch though!!! Thanks for sharing! I'm jealous about your white stick marker dial. They are very hard to find!
  3. "...rounded crown was a complete pain in the neck to deal with." You didn't mention that in your sales ad, did you? For me, it's not too bad. What bothered me was the rep bezel and dial, so I had them replaced.
  4. I see... Well, good luck with the BCE! Please let us know what you find.
  5. The first one on the left is from Breitling Colt Automatic (1 generation).
  6. Just by looking at the picture, the rep dial doesn't look bad at all (the minute markers are the same width from beginning to end on the rep dial whereas they are not same width on the gen dial). The Arabic dials are quite simple in design, I would hope the rep factory can make it right. When people franken their BCEs, they are likely keeping it I have only seen two people selling theirs since I joint RWG. If you want a franke BCE, you will really have to get it done yourself. I mean getting all the parts needed and having your watchmaker do it. I think the procurement process is kind of fun personally. It makes you appreciate the final result a whole lot more. Since you already have a stick marker dial BCE, I would consider to get a gen dial using the $$ you would purchase another rep BCE if I were you. Keep an eye on Ebay, sometimes you will find a good deal. I bought all my dials and bezels there.
  7. This is not a rep, it's a gen. That's why it's called the Ultimate
  8. BT, From just looking at the movement, you are exactly right. Too much $$ for just an ETA 7750 movement. However, BCE is just so damn beautiful. I think you can find one used for about $2600. It will be something you want after owning a franken for a year or two This is my gen dial looks like. Hopefully it's big enough for your comparison. The thing is if the rep dial turn out to be... not so good, you can always put in a gen. Arabic numbered BCE dials are a lot easier to find than the stick marker ones.
  9. Yodap: Is the v3 you were referring v2 made by HBB factory?
  10. Oops, I didn't read that part... That's too bad.
  11. I'm looking at something like this one. http://crafts-sewing.hsn.com/liquid-gold-plating-system_p-5414642_xp.aspx The metals I need to be gold plated are stainless steel. Will it work?
  12. I want to gold plate some of my watch parts (mainly screws and bezels). I have heard about liquid gold plating. Has anyone used it before? Does it work? Thanks!
  13. The 17J 7750 sells for $150 whereas 25J 7750 sells for $350, so if it's 25J 7750, you got yourself a deal!
  14. Congrats on the Skyland! I have an A7750 v3, it's one of my personal favorites! Not to be a harsh critic, but the date wheel looks like need to be upgraded (wrong font). I'm surprised for the price, the dealers didn't update that when they install the Swiss movement.
  15. I started with an UPO and a Superocean Steelfish about over a year ago. Now I found myself still buying... For starters, UPO may not be good choice because the thread on the crown tube can be striped easily. Superocean Steelfish is pretty good, but make sure you don't buy the one with arrow second hand.
  16. I sourced two genuine DW, but they had slightly lighter font color (dark gray). Does anyone know which Breitling model they are from? Thanks!
  17. I bought two BCE dials from diamondcastle, they are perfect. However, I did specifically ask the seller to pick out the perfect one for me though.
  18. If you search for "Breitling Dail" you will find some really cheap ones! The word dial has to be spelled wrong to see all the deals. Just FYI (BTW, I'm not the seller).
  19. Thanks for the reply! Well, if you compare the distance between the outer edges of the tab to the edge of the hole, the mystery tab's hole looks bigger, thus you are probably right about the tab is made for a Blackbird.
  20. The thing is, if the lock button is not functional and it's so big, I personally feel like it's equivalent of me wearing a watch with faux chronograph. I can care less about the bezel not being AR coated sapphire.
  21. I think I will wait for one more year... Maybe they can make the bezel lock work.
  22. It came from a BCE bezel I bought couple months ago. I thought it was for a BCE, but after I'd compared it with my other one, the pearl hole (on the left) looked bigger. There are only two watches I can think of sharing windrider tabs. One is BCE and the other is Blackbird. I'm pretty positive it's a gen, but from where? Any thoughts on this? Please ignore the bezel itself because I installed the tab on there.
  23. This is what I got from one of our dealers. "Bezel rotates... Locking is not working ... insert is not sapphire... "
  24. Joshua just told me that he procured gen in behalf of the maker. It's in great quality. I'm just wondering if they are already on the dealers' shelves and ready to ship.
