  1. Hi guys, Can I assume that parts made for Omega case number 168.1652 would fit on my UPO? I am thinking about an UPO sapphire crystal and caseback. Thanks! Cougaree
  2. I would say just do it. Either you will regret it or you won't. I think just trying... is pretty exciting...
  3. This is where I grew up. Washington State, USA.
  4. By looking at the shock absorber... the movement looks like Chinese. Is it?
  5. I have a DSN sterile PVD MM and will be getting a polished SS Vac MM. Check them out! I like them. Honestly, the sterile Rolex is also pretty good. I especially like the dial made by Bill Yao from MKii.
  6. FYI, if you want sterile dial Rolex, then contact Homer on RWG. He sells them.
  7. The price is about right. However, when you do buy one of those, then you will start wondering if DSN's better... later you might end up with one... after that you will realize that you wasted your $70 because you don't need two watches... Anyway, I bought stuff from the following two sellers, they are about in the price range you specified. Really nothing wrong with the watch... you will get what you pay for. If you are not into making sure yours is as close to gen as possible or sapphire crystals... then this is a good way to go. http://www.helenarou.com/ind.html http://www.manbushijie.com/index.asp
  8. Thanks! Well, I use to have the light caramel strap until my wife told me it makes more like a big old man's watch... so I stopped using it. Yeah, I am pretty much going to the stealth look... Boy I sure miss this watch... Hopefully I will get it back from reluming soon
  9. Looks great! Thanks for sharing! I think I will get mine in about two weeks. Vac is currently putting it all together... Can't wait
  10. This is what I have. Bought it for $120 new on Ebay and currently getting lumed by Vac. I will probably install sapphire crystal on it also.
  11. Thanks for sharing! Now show us some wrist shots
  12. Wow, what a wonderful collection! Thanks for sharing! Although I have been here for only over 5 months, I have collected quite few pieces as well
  13. I think namor wants something better than DSN. Check this out! I am very impressed.... http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=250852 Namor, Have you seem JOA's watch? I really like his stuff, although there is no brand names anywhere. JOA's stuff is bit more than DSN's, but I was told by others his is really good. In fact, I am thinking about buying his Pam 111
  14. Vac, It just happened that I had to deal with sinus this last weekend, so I know how you feel I hope you feel better soon. Take you time on those watches I sent you (you will be getting two more this week) I don't need them right away as I have plenty here to tell what time it is. Cougaree
  15. Looks like she is wearing a Pam 111 maybe? This is my personal favorite and a piece in my permanent collection.
  16. Hi guys, This is one of the MM watch I have. Do you think if I'd be better off getting a DSN dial instead of superluming (with C3) the one I have on it currently? Does the DSN dial have bigger and buckier numbers? I am not really trying to make it look as close as gen 127, but I would like to make it to have better parts available. BTW, any thoughts on crown guards? There seems to be a variety of ETA 6497 movements out there. I am just wondering if someone can educate me a little bit on it. What is the difference between H versus E movement, square bridge etc... any pictures would be even better. Thank you very much!
  17. Received this custom DSN vintage watch from Namor. It looks superb! Thanks a lot Namor!!
  18. FYI, someone sells cheaper ones (flat) on ebay, the auction is at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=280333712097
  19. I see. Thanks for your input. For some reason I thought it would be a lot easier... assuming the rep factories use the same case over and over again, but I guess it's not case. Where can I locate better minute and hour hands then? Having them fixed may bother me less.
  20. I have a Marina Militare GMT watch. It works well but I'm really not a GMT automatic pam person. To me the case look awfully similar to the 111 or 112 cases (see image below). I'm wondering if anyone here has done any conversions before similar before. I understand that I may lose the crystal, dial, hands and movements, and only reuse the case. I really like the case. Additionally, you may notice the tips of the minute and hour hands are hollow. Do you know anywhere I can get a pair of non-hollow hands for this watch? I think the watch is running on an Asian movement (have not opened the case yet). Thanks! Cougaree
  21. Nope. I just found it amazing that someone would pay top dollars for this one.
  22. hmm... this one is interesting... Link
  23. Guys, Could you tell from the pictures below this watch is rep or gen? Thanks! Cougaree
