Not sure, but a good friend of mine in the military HAS successfully gotten a Geiger counter to register against his gen tritium based Submariner and tritium lumed military compass....
Kurt, any more info you can provide on this? I too have a pin vice and have had the same thought. Any chance for a link to the exact Dremel kit? A detailed shopping list/pic would be great. Out of curiosity how long does hand jammin' a lug take?
Thanks in advance!
In FireFox 3.6 I always see the text "Icon" instead of an actual icon image. The only member banner icon images that I ever see are regular Member, and Staff/Moderator. It has been like that since the forum upgrade.
In a perfect world, it would be a Rolex "Re-issue" (as in brand new) of a 6538... Especially if the dial, hands and case were exact, but with improved modern movement and a better bracelet (seriously if you have ever handled a gen vintage rivet bracelet -- they are pretty crappy). Wishful thinking.
Thanks guys. I actually have a Deyployant buckle as well as the buckle. This is for my 112, and I am attempting to go with 'showroom' setup. Hmmmm..... After looking and the 112, my deyploy and buckle are 'brushed' instead of 'polished'. I will keep on searching.
Quick question. I have the opportunity to purchase a Gen Leather strap. It is designated as being for a deyployant, but the seller says you can just as easily use it with a Tang buckle. Makes sense.
I am curious for those who have seen the products, what are the big differences. My guess is thinner? Will it look bad with a buckle?
TIA,
Where is HikeUSA? I will also tune in to see:

Very cool. If you want to take it a little further and more Rolex like, you can fit "ETA" Mercedes hands. I would go with the Maxi dial style hands. The same place you bought the insert from should have them.
Offshore, or someone can correct me if I am wrong, but last I checked ETA 28xx hands are interchangeable with Seiko hands.
Cool tech.
Honestly, this will have no repercussions in the rep world. This will only impact the evil people looking to sell to pawn shops (if they have the decode tech), or AD's. As long as they can make something that "looks" close that is all that matters. Not unlike the hologram, rehaut engraving, crystal etching.
