  1. Love the wet, white t-shirt scenes.... (Someone needs to re-cut the video deleting the dude...)
  2. My local AD has one in stock, but it is a COSC version. (I prefer the non-COSC, less text dial's).
  3. $3200 seems to be the LOW watermark. Watch eBay, (use the Make Offer, when offered by some sellers), or the forums TRF, WUS, etc.
  4. I know that dial You actually did well for $350 with "Swiss ETA" inside. Mine (below) cost me about $320 to build with Swiss ETA and Rep Case.
  5. No. There was even documentation from various manufactures about semi-quick-stetting dates on non-quickset movements by rocking back and forth between 10 after midnight and 20 til midnight. I think the turning backwards is part myth, or only applies to very specific movements. If you go backwards, go back at least :20 then forward to the time you want. I have done this on my serviced/COSC 1575 without issue.
  6. Only things that jump out at me are "Date" on the dial, and overly yellow hands. Also, case looks thick almost like a 'Fat Lady' and as such most likely a 6mm crown instead of 5.3 However, it looks good enough, I would just wear it at this point.
  7. Cool. Singapore has checked in. I wonder if they were under a DDOS attack and temporarily limited their networks.
  8. In the thread I read, Singapore, and Asia may be the countries in question... Good to know EU looks safe.
  9. Just read on another forum, that non-US users, could not see images hosted at imageshack. Can anyone here confirm that from our international members? Below are some images hosted at imageshack.us. Just wondering if we need to switch to photobucket or imgur....
  10. +100, anything that talks about "Gas Escape" on the dial side of the watch is a major marketing mistake IMHO. YMMV.
  11. I wouldn't get to hung up on the dial feet. If the subdial spacing fits V72, then just cut them off and use dial dots. Otherwise, we need more information. Dial diameter, measurement from center to subdial positions, etc. The only other movement that springs to mind, (and the diameter/feet might tell) is this is for Lemania Handwind.
  12. Agreed, much bigger fish to fry than a few watch enthusiasts getting together-- most likely with GENs and REPs present. Local Law Enforcement wouldn't touch this, could you imagine the PR nightmare when they confiscate a genuine Rolex or other brand at one of these.
  13. FYI, the correct color is gunmetal / charcoal. So BLACK is wrong, and too light of grey is wrong. GEN In direct sunlight they look more grey. It still baffles me how in the Rolex REP world we can not get good White EXP II's & 14060's...
  14. The one on the right. ->
  15. Now that is a project of epic proportions.
