I did see that the gen bezel won't fit on this watch plus as you've eluded to it is too expensive. So these aren't like the Planet ocean bezels where the whole unit has to be pryed off to change the insert?

I have just received this Modded Bond GMT with gen 1128 but when it comes to Omegas I am a bit of a beginner and need our resident experts to chime in here. The bezel insert has been faded but isn't my cup of tea...I have been recommended the inserts from ebay seller wholesaleoutlet990 but to me the pearl looks wrong on these. I'm looking for a better alternative than ordering another rep insert from Josh. Also the bracelet endlinks don't sit as flush as I would like and of course this has screws instead of the desirable pins....Any ideas on a better bracelet/Endlink combo for this. Any help would be most appreciated. Here's the watch in question;

Actually I have decided to keep the 5002 so look out for this 5004 up for sale very soon.

Thanks guys...My 5002 is on its way back from the master as we speak so it's going to be a tough decision as to which one I keep. I'm leaning towards the 5004 but we'll see.

Take a look in the platinum area mate..Pretty sure there is something there.

I think they do it delibrately as we have seen spelling mistakes before on watches but the final watch ships with the correct spelling. If I remember it was Angus that said they do that so they can differentiate between the gen and the rep. One rep is made from the gen and then that is copied for the rest of the batch.

My first of two Big Pilots turned up today from my favourite EMS person. As soon as I opened the package and glimpsed it I knew this was something special and it certainly is. It's getting dark here so sorry for the photos but let me describe what was done to this. - Chief double AR coated crystal - Power reserve hand moved to full reserve - Double date wheels so no recessed date wheel - Lubed the rotor so it is silent now - relumed dial and hands - Correct engraved deployment clasp for the 5004 - Genuine IWC OEM Gator strap The strap really finishes the watch off and looks just magic on the wrist.

That is a $20 asian special mate...I would get my money back if I were you.

Kruz it looks like his new version has 'No recessed date' so would incorporate this movement.

Avitt you will find that one side of the case will need to be drilled out to fit these but no big deal really.

For me it would be my modified 63 with 2893-2 movement, The Zigmeister lumed, Gen crown, Chief cyclops.
