make sure you wear a PAMMIE to the trial. =)

buy a gen strap(~200usd) or a high qual. aftermarket, and use the deploy form josh or wo-mart. the strap is not good but the deploy is great. j

- get another 1680.. i have both and i wear the 1680 white all the time and never wear the 1665 eventhough i have a vintage fold over bracelet for the 1665 too. the 1680 is more substantial esp if you wear other big watches like breitling or pannies. =)

solid and trustworthy watch and when i first started on these rep boards i was like where is the MareN... now i kinda thinks its plain and simple but none the less nice.. just i think its not a priority or a request... but i would pick one up if it comes out just like all the other watches i don't need but just like... lol.

dial is nice and the bracelet looks intricate.. but i never liked the 'bullhead' style cases. j

i had a 4cyl. accord (carb version,1988) got 45mpg on a FL trip! on the subject of mpg... the MB ML430 V8 got better mpg (+19) then the MB ML320 V6, @ 14-16mpg! and the CBR11XX never got better than 25mpg. =(

@rek001.... yeah we were really disappointed in the gas mileage at first too! i think one of the secs. called toyo about this... the miles did improve but we were NOT getting 23 like you are(25+)... but you live in a city and do mostly city driving? city driving will be less on this kind of car as well as an automatic.... we get about 32 now mostly highway miles with a 5spd. but the tire/wheel combo defin. sucks down the mpgs and has been confirmed with others. We looked at hybrids but the initial $$ of a hybrid like a Prius we calculated did not offset the mpgs gained. Our red xA has 39,000 miles already... but again its a business delivery vehicle. =) j

sorry to here of your bad exp. i had a MB E320 4matic that over a thanksgiving weekend ended up having BB shots all ober the passanger side! i was so many places visiting friends that i have no idea where it happened. but my deduct was not $1000... =) I also have a scion Xa as a business deliv vehicle everyone loves it and alot of people ask questions about it. its super roomy and gets great gas miles however it the limited verson with the sunroof, enkei rims, color coded trim and numbered plaque on the dash... those low profile tires and rims suck for comfort and eat up some gas miles so we wouldn't get that next time for just a deliv. vehicle. j

@lionsandtigers... what burrough you live in? i used to live in Brooklyn.. now im just outside albany. also if you are seriously looking at a 749dark look for a year old 749S the S are always worth the extra $$ cause they come with a ton of upgrades that more than off set the extra $$ (ohlins, diff motor etc.) just be careful on the 749 as not every year S has Ohlins but the 999S all do. BTW i stopped but the Duc Factory while in Italy and took a factory tour.. super cool place! well worth it plus a tour of the factory museum and then got some goodies at the gift shop.. if you like italian bikes you can also make me an offer on the 'priller1000R? j

i sold the ML430 w/ navi recently and have been looking for a daily driver... i always wanted a SL... and when i saw this i knew i had to get my checkbook out... i don't think i'll get called out with any of my reps or gens... =) saw today and wrote the check within 45mins. 51kmi. both tops. not one scratch. anyone else here have one? don't worry i still have all the bikes. the best part is AMG rims and both tops, which i really need here in upstate NY, USA j

has anyone come up with a solution or a source for correct chrono or "B" seconds hand on modified breilting chronos? all the latest models w/ the 7750 28,8 -rep seconds 'B' hand will not fit on gen ETA/Valjoux 7750 when installed. =( also is how do you tell by looking at the movement if you have 21beat old or 28,8 new rep 7750? thanks.

@cwai02 -overall impressions? i have tried the gen on several times and really would like to get this item... dial will be upgraded once that project gets off the ground but the dial is decent and is similar enough to the dumont that only a WIS would know... but how about the overall feel of the item and finish? its on my wish list and depending on your response i will jump on or off. j

dial can be better.. that is if you are asking. =) ticks at date window for starters.. also the band end links as viewed from the top and endlinks should be w/o feet from the bottom. j
