  1. OK noted. I paid $1250 but the seller refunded me $50 because of the crown/tube issue. My brother in law is a watchmaker so he replaced the crown/tube (I bought parts from Ofrei) but thanks just the same kernow. Interestingly enough, Omega welded their tubes to the cases when this watch was made so my brother in law actually tapped and grooved the case and the tube in order to screw in the new tube. It's rock solid! Maybe I'll contact Omega. I would ask the in law but he did the tube job pro bono so I don't want to ware out my welcome I've used rep bracelets before with other projects and have never been impressed with the bond rep bracelets quality. I cant see putting a rep bracelet on this beautiful watch. Yes, it seems the pins are bent and disassembling them would hopefully reveal the smoking gun. I just don't know if it's worth the trouble of tearing the thing apart.
  2. Huh. I'll have to check mine for double spring bar holes. I bought my smp used from ebay and the seller never mentioned the stretch and disguised the severity in the add. The tube was also stripped! I got it for a killer deal so I couldn't complain much. It was the lack of disclosure that urked me. Anyway, I think I may just pony up and look for a used one in good shape. The existing bracelet seems secure enough but not sure if I'm willing to take a chance on a link failing.
  3. +1. It's nice and quiet over here and I like it that way. A nice and tidy group of watch lovers and no BS!
  4. It's gen. I cant bring myself to replace it with a rep bracelet or a cheap aftermarket.
  5. Anyone know if it's possible to fix an extreme case of bracelet stretch? Also, if extreme, is it ill advised to continue using the bracelet? Here's the bracelet in question:
  6. I think the Jeff Gordan sponsorship ruined it for Tag with some folks...
  7. Crappy cellphone shots. Railmaster again.
  8. BT love the Aquaracer! I miss mine I am shifting away from reps more and more these days. I think I'm down to 2 or 3 reps out of 17 watches. Just been turned off from the rep industry for a number of reasons... The slogan "Buy real, be real" echos in my head Anyway, gen Railmaster for me today:
  9. I'm with you BT. I think Tag designs have been very innovative. Just because Tag wants to broaden their demographic and offer a cost effective option doesn't give right to [censored] on their higher end watches. I suppose this is all a matter of personal opinion but some folks are just put to get Tag. I don't get it. I've got watches worth 4k and I still rank my 2k or less Tags up their in terms of quality, design, function and durribility.
  10. Make that 5 Tags Just got this in the mail. 4 gens and this guy.
  11. I own 4 Tags and love all of them! Folks poke at Tag for calling a 7750 Tag Calibre 16 and other Tag movements with ETA calibre when the reality is a lot of other high end watch companies do the same thing (Breitling, Omega etc). Why pick on Tag? This one is actually one of my favorite watches:
  12. I think this clown sells on eBay also. Not sure of is eBay moniker. douchebagstraps?
  13. You can tell just by looking at that crap that the straps aren't oem. They look like there made from rat skin
  14. Alright, thanks for the heads up Ezio and glad you had the intuition to back out of that. Be smart folks
  15. Just picked up a gen Railmaster. Love it!
