Gauging interest for a Mini Mille Metri homage
swdivad replied to buffedupboy's topic in The Panerai Area
I'm in 100% for a bronze and titanium!!! -
I also ordered on the day it was released... Mine didn't arrive quite yet, but I suspect it will be tomorrow!! Am I missing anything? Looks pretty awesome to me :-)

zero??!! That's a bit rich isn't it??? Both Andrew & Joshua are top notch in my book! Bottom line is, they can sell to and ship to whoever they want, whenever they want. It's his business and he has the option. If you don't like his business ethics, buy a shitty diver from Angus... jeeez

Some of us are constrained by software not available on other OSs... I'm an engineer, I use 3d CAD and engineering software on a daily basis that just aren't built for anything but Windows. Besides that, I bought my girl a mac a few years back... we both tried and tried, but just couldn't get used to it. And, besides them, I have never had a virus on my windows machine except once, when I was trying out different AV software and was actually trying to get a virus... Been using NOD32 since its inception and never used anything else from then. To each his own, but for me, Macs just don't have what it takes to do the stuff I need to do and stay in line with my customers. Jeez... you die-hard mac/unix/linux bigots crack me up sometimes :-P

Received new PAM 089, Question about rotor noise and vibration...
swdivad replied to Ricardo L's topic in The Panerai Area
I had the gen 089, and it was wobbly and even a bit noisy too. A recommended spa at your local watchsmith will probably make it nicer... it's well known that the movements aren't so well cleaned and oiled from the factories. -
Damn! Get a load of these high end belt buckles!!! We gotta get some reps of these babies! Io Ken!!! What's up???!!!

First thing to translate is the currency... Those ain't YEN, they're YUAN (Chinese Renminbi), symbol ¥: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_yuan That item is quite expensive for a rep and too cheap for a gen: http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/convert/?Amount=5180.00&From=CNY&To=GBP 5,180.00 CNY = 548.601 GBP

PAM 243 - Adjust tightness of bezel, and if lucky clicks
swdivad replied to swdivad's topic in The Panerai Area
so do these rotatingh bezels just pop off with a bit of persuasion? -
I got the 237: excellent, awesome, perfect (as can be at <5% of the cost of the gen) ... I think it's nicer, but by opinion only. The silver subdial on the 88 just doesn't do it for me at all.

Awesome! Perfect job! Love it!!!

Got my PAM243 from Joshua last month... excellent awesome watch for sure... now my daily :-) One thing that bugs me is that the bezel is just a little bit too easy to rotate; Does anyone know a way to tighten this up just a hair or two? I don't know the mechanism, but there are 120 clicks in this bezel... would it at all be possible to change parts to make it click 60 like gen?

What's gummy? Is gummy croc like gummy bears??

Beautiful watch! I've been thinking about this one... How's the lume?
-
Beautiful! This is gen yes?

Really awesome outcome!! Can the CG be taken off and it works like an ennebi?

That's a completely photo-shopped image, probably something to give everyone a glimpse of what to come... but they should've waited before releasing that monstrosity of a job LOL
