i strongly suggest everyone to try modding a watch himself .... start with changing the insert - piece of cake ... CGs very easy ... not much can go wrong on this vintage pieces - they pretend to be 30 years old and its fun ! Frank

im really really sorry to here what happened to you .... i remember to had a half funny discussion with RBJ in a sales-thread before. but nothing ruins a nice vintage MBW there are some mods you can do yourself for free like put the bad pearl out of the insert or slightly bleach the rep-insert - makes a huge difference. or bye some Revell Night Color - a little patience and a toothpick brings you a nice tritium-effect. you are in the EU ? i can offer you the mods for free if you want - just PM me i didt a lot of work on vintage MBWs before. or - the best solution - finally put this nice piece on your wrist and enjoy it Frank

today was Base-day : now im off to swim training with the Sub : Frank

the AR compared his 112 to my gen 000 is fine - no worry s here. the only thing you could complain are the cgs and crown. but cgs are better in his latest offerings ... the crown is fixable. i can not see big flaws in his dial printing but i have only a 112 here the fault that bothers me most on all Panerai rep - the L SWISS MADE L size and placement is perfect on the 112. i have /had 4 watches from him - only 1 had a slight problem that was fixed with rivers springbars. all of then have the extra quality feel - don't want to say genuine feel - but way better than other stock Panerai Reps. Frank

just use some heat - its just glued - a simple candle will do

gen - reps - gen -reps - and so on .... at the moment only reps - my last gen was a Panerai Zero and ... a huge disappointment - i think a davidsan pam is better quality than the gen pam i had - but that's an other story the only gen that i would bye again are Rolex - but only for the very nice movement. had some fun lately - but under the hood decided to tune my watches inside : left movement is from silix an my franken DJ - but serviced to shine - next a nice decorated ETA in a silix DJ case right the standard movement in an Explorer Rep. next step will be a Tudor movement in the Explorer Rep. somebody else here cares whats inside the watch ??? or am I crazy ?
