Yes, this pic was done with the wrong ISO .. I'm trying to get my white balance corrected.. I have mixed feelings regarding photoshop.. on one hand it does enhance and create beautiful images from the existing image.. but conversely the colour is enhanced to the point of being fictitious.. maybe if the saturation is lessened after the auto adjust it would be more "real" that's the only reservation I have .. as I would really like to convey the true colour.. if this was for an artful pictorial then it is hands down.. "top shelf" !!

I'm hoping that means the pain is less these day's .. makes a difference dosen't it..

The pic is of Ubi's PVD'd Pam .. it is awesome !! the DLC is what the Breitling Black Steel is coated with.. the DLC coat is proven to strengthen the metal by 80% there are pics on one of the sites of the actual procedures for both.. and video's of various uses.. ie. they are now using the dlc coatings in Race engines (parts)..Cars .. Jet engines .. anything that could gain an advantage by adding durability without gaining a lot of weight.

She's a beaut R !!!! that strap is a perfect match.. I'm thinking of inquiring or sending an old Breitiling bracelet to that company that does tools and see what their DLC looks like.. or if they even do it.. but I am in doubt about the bracelet as all the links would have to be done seperately..

With the thread in the Breitling section discussing the "Black Trend" I thought I would post a little bit of that subject here.. actually the PVD Trend is not really new.. it was actually used,... starting around 1966 for it's durability in the Tooling industry .. to increase the longevity and hardness in dies and stamping tools ..generally parts that took a great deal of torque and stress.. and was adapted by the military for use in their watches.. for obvious reasons.. of durability and it's "stealth capabilities" due to it's matte finish and anti reflectiing, finishes according to the finish of the metal. Funny, I was jus thinking this week of the different styles and diameters of my reps.. and thought it has a lot to do with my psyche at the time I fancy a certain size watch. It may be that my mind set has a lot to do with the fact that I find 44mm too big at times.. and at other times find they fit jus right.. I'm still pondering this, as at times I cannot wear the 39's .. or a lot of it can be when my muscle cells are gtg with glycogene I wear the 44's on up and when I'm depleted, usually recovering at the beggining of the week from the previous workouts of the week before.. I really fancy the Rolex 39's Go figure.,. what ever the reason I love the versitility that the different mm sizes offer...

It was so Humid in Hawaii a couple of months ago that when I got back in the car and turned the AC to max.. my MBK modded 1665 accumulated a lot of condensation under the crystal .. I use "damp rid" pellets to get excess moisture from the room I store my cigars in ..with my watch.... I put some of the pellets in a small plastic holder.. and opened the crown to the setting position and put the watch in a cigar box with the damp rid pellets.. and left it over night.. the damprid "extracts" the moisture .. the pellets then turn to liquid with the moisture it extracts.. and the pellets hold the moisture .. so it does not return to the area where it was extracted from. you can pick it up at hardware stores.. it works well.. Once condensation occurs in an enclosed area unless it's totally removed it will cause problems even if you cannot see it on the crystal.. this I am assuming for watches..... from experience with moisture in distributors in cars etc.
