yes Toad,.. I am excited about what Rob "can do" with the yellow lume.. more than I am about the rep itself.. if that makes any sense.. to have a coloured lume like that of the 06 of which Robs consistency is amazing to say the least.. same on mine as it is on all the other members CD's... now that is SICK !! the enhanced colour does nothing to the image but ruin the colour .. agree,... but after knowing the capabilities of the "tools" available for doing this you can understand why I don't put much credence in the makers pics.. as I am fairly confident that the pics are not accurate.. meaning ,.. the rep is probably more accurate than the pic.. just how accurate will have to be seen.. futhermore Kings image without max saturation shows more of the true lines.. although I am pretty sure that the lines are more like the genuine than these pics will illustrate... a good example would be the Chopard .. when they came out with the pics.. it was thought that the sub dials were not accurate at all.. when in fact they are spot on.. but the lighting was misleading .. but I doubt the image on the case back is that deep in colour.. that too looks like it has been mutually enhanced.. Good that they are not deceiving in a way to make us think that they are accurate and then turn out not to be..

haha.. the 07 didn't do much... the 06 still "King of the Hill'.. but when the genuine of the 08 was released.. well.. I put in an early order so to speak... the colour combo is outstanding .. very nice ... but sheesh customs is so jammed up I'll probably recieve it in 09 .. this one will definately have to see Ziggy.. and I have a Chief AR crystal awaiting use ... wonder waht the 09 will look like ?

Again I do believe that the pictures have been given too much artificial colour and saturation.. the maker loves to do this with his pics .. and studying the image.. it appears that the pic has been grossly saturated taking away all detail (curve of the subs) and if this is the same maker as the previous CD's then the dial should be just as good as the 06 as far as detail Can't really tell from the pics if in fact the inner bezel gearing has in fact been corrected... it still could easily be aligned for the pic .. but then again, all conjecture on my part until the macros are taken and posted .. cause there is little hidding macro shots We shall see as Blue is the hardest colour to get correct on the replication .. and with the Christmas customs traffic.. I'll be lucky if it arrives before Xmas

After being backloggd in LA Customs all week and then rerouted to Santa Monica .. my Deep Sea has finally been released .. but it's the weekend and with the rush of Christmas mail I doubt to get it until early next week sometime.. I take issue with the pics that the maker produces .. many times the colour is overly saturated .. ergo making the colour altogether different from the real (rep) deal .. so I am trying to keep an open mind and not jump to too many definative conclusions until I have the actual product in hand .. also , not planting too many expectations .. just .. hurry up and wait ... to see what the maker did to replicate the genuine.. I can't believe that with the genuine in hand that the lume would turn out green and then be produced like that.. so we shall see what we shall see ....

The pic is so over saturated .. guess we'll have to see what it looks like in person .. and if the lighting play's any role in the font I do like these colours though.. after Ziggy's relume ... the 08 may rival the 06 (for me) if the colours come close..

seeing as how you have both .. "No Problemo!" .. you have options with both.. I rather like the Silver, it brings out the case in a nice contrast.. however tomorrow I may favour the black.. but then again I am no Fashion Guru... I know, I've been absolutely no help....

No your right .. (according to the pic).. but the pic is affected by the lighting .. so yes and No.. to your question.. the lighting adds a big variance to pics.. but the pearl is correct .. I could take the pic in different angles and different lighting and it will look to be a different size everytime.. But what you are seeing that is true.. is the genuine lume is sunken a little more and there is a little thicker pexi cover on the genuine pearl ... so ture.. so true !!

Funny you should mention ..Macy's ... the sales gal at the seperate Macy's timepiece store.. at ala Moana.. offered me once the Breitling SA.. with the full diamond bezel for 2500.00 usd .. although I was tempted and it would have been a steal.. when would I wear it .. and a little too pimped out for me.. but she is really nice.. unlike the snobs in Ben Bridge Time Werks .. If you all can.. I would really like to read about "your" history behind the brand... you choose.. is it the $$ of the genuine.. the feel of the name.. or something more along the way of "when I was a kid.. my oldest cousin and His Dad.. (my Uncle) taught me how to dive with a "tank" .. and they had Rolex Subs ever since then that is what I wanted to wear someday.. but never brought myself to buy the genuine..etc. .. etc. " (true story btw ..

I always think of members as synonymous with their timepieces, ie. the Rolex Purist, whom only gravitate and own either the genuine and or awesome Franken's. Having said that, I wonder what motivated, or motivates members to gravitate toward one brand name or "line" of watches such as divers as opposed to other models. Or solely the Sophisticated highly expensive dress watches ... is it the former athlete in you that prefers sport watches.. or the "Bond" suavivity (made that word up jus now) that looks for the POSH stuff.. My most recent purchase was the Breitling Black Steel.. of which I am mesmerized .. But then I keep returning to the my vintage Rolex Collection.. mind you, I don't believe I would if not for Ziggy's wonderful art on the dial and Horological expertise.. and why is it that I always gravitate back in time.. in real time, things aren't appreciated as much as 10 to 20 years later.. for it's true style It is but for members such as Ubi and TMG.. ( I mention them as there are many others .. but their watches inspired me first off .. or rather "obsessed" me into taking on the projects of the vintage line of Rolex) I could keep posting watches all day long that I adore.. .. but always come home to the vintages.. sheesh .. sounds like I'm cheating on my wife, (if I still had one) .. .. and all the other brands are seductive mistress's .. oh well ,.. it's OK to look at the menu as long as you eat at home.. But enough rambling from me... Well, the most wonderful time of the year brings with it .. a massive backlog in the (CONUS) Customs (Homeland Security) I don't know if it's the same in the EU.. I would expect just as much.. After a sudden Bog in parcels this past 2 weeks .. I checked with a friend .. affirmative!! .. parcels are piling up at a surprising rate.. department stores may be slow.. but the internet is alive and well .. ergo, expect parcels that need to enter Customs to be delayed .. anywhere from 2 to 5 day's increasing as we get closer to the 25. I have been waiting for another members pics .. he said he has the genuine.... but he has vanished.. ergo the reason that part II is delayed.. but here is DBR's gen.. let me find one of mine that has somewhat the same angle.. usually new members with only 1 post that pm me.. get a reply but if they ask for a full synopsis on everything under the sun I guide them to the intro section and the reviews .. a member who recently pm'd me .. and was very courteous .. renewed my enthusiasm with the newcomer.. he is a yound kid who is on a limited budget but was sincere and kinda lost.. so I did what any other of you guy's would do.. I "supported the community".. others who are obvious spammers.. I ignore... not to be obtuse.. but I really don't have all day to spend on these issues.. my rule is .. simple..
