I don't think I could ever get myself to ding up the cases.. to give it the used aged look though .. every time I think of using the "method" i chicken out..the 1655 may take 3 separate pieces to make one good one... yup we are OBSESSED...

My reason for so many projects at once.. well it's really not all at once... I like to have a lot of surplus time to source parts .. more importantly do the research and ask the questions with members who are versed in the Vintage timepieces..RWG is never lacking in members whom have the time and experience and most important the knowledge so I really don't have to stray far.... for all the information I need !!! Half the enjoyment of this Hobby is the History behind the vintage pieces .. especially within the early years when Brands were supplying the Military with time keeping instruments ..what good is creating a replica of a vintage timepiece if you don't know the history behind it ?? Knowing just the model seems like a poor excuse for the background of the replica .. or just wearing it cause it looks "Cool" ... IMO Ever since I was a kid I enjoyed looking at old historic magazines and photo's of the 1800's.. maybe that's why I enjoy movies with time travel.. ... anyway .. here are some fast images (one more coming in next week) .. of the projects that I am attempting to get correct.. 1 vintage project is out of town at the moment

fortunately the genuine was at the price range that it could be purchased for dissection and then replication.. I'm told the genuine watch is pretty useless after it's torn apart.. many of the parts are farmed out for replication ... but 10 months in the making ... we can only wonder what's coming at the end of this year

Genuine is about 300 usd i believe.. you may want to see if the mineral crystal can be AR'd also..i have a link for straps out of Germany Pilot with real rivet screws.. let me dig for it..

Yup with toomuchgears tech help.. i got the genuine crown.. tube.. aftermarket crystal with correct mag,ordering the hands this week.... so the most cumbersome footwork is done.. Now I am gathering genuine pics for detail..

agree with Taka... my 089 just came back from Ziggy.. lello DW etc. .. getting the AR crystal to add to it.. also have the IWC got to add the Lello DW and get the crystal chiefed.. breiltling .. not an option..

Ziggy has done this for me .. removing the cyclos and installing chieftangs cyclops .. it involves heating the mag to remove it .. then glueing it back on.. a lot of watchsmiths either don't know the method or have had bad experiences with it,.. that's why Ziggy is Ziggy

This is the "Catch 22" of our Hobby !! I can never insure the "rep" only the genuine parts that accompany it .. as Slai states.. you are going to have to show proof of purchase ... and forging a recieipt is grounds for "Mail Fraud" which in the US is a Fedreal Offense.. not that the authorities would go to the trouble of prosecuting anyone.. but how would you like to have that in the data base.."permanantly"

the mag does have AR.. Hike and BT both used this from the bay to post.. it is an unbelievable price.. he's "supposedly" reputable.. still I would not chance it..

"DAD" I have been wanting something "different" for my 111H as leather and gator start looking the same to me when it's on my wrist.. so when I was told the King Cobra was available ,I have alway's been fasinated with this creature.. the strap has been made from part of it's "HOOD" .... nuff siad.. hope you enjoy the pics..
