IMHO the all of the dials are incredible .. the logo is so minute.. in size you really need a loupe or for your face to be right up to the dial.. to ascertain the flaw in the feet.. that is not really a concern for me as the colour and all the markers and font is Spot ON !! the pic of the genuine is in the background Vintage Red Group shot this image was taken in "vivid" mode.. the colour is exagerated and I agree with RolexMan.. the bracelet is solid..

Same here MP.. i like the plum look on some watches..but on the lower quality reps where the crystal looks like a mirror tint.. i pass.. but it's amazing .. i'm driving on the freeway with my arm stuck out the door.. trying to catch glare.. and you know what? not even direct 12 noon sunlight affects Chiefs AR.. it's like krypnonite dosen't affect this at all Looking forward to recieving Jakubs Ar.. back .. I'm sure his is superb also..

I used to believe that the "hue " or tint in the Ar'd crystal was in direct proportion to the quality or lack there of ... of the refraction capabilities of the crystal... this was totally erroneous on my part ... after I swaped a genuine PO crystal with my UPO .. there was hardly any hue in the crystal .. but there wasn't any crystal at times... or so it seemed.. so the hue or tint has really nothing to do with the quality of the AR.. although it's eye catching.. the next generation af AR will have almost no tint... chieftangs AR coater has shown us that.. As you can see .. no crystal .. but also not hue or tint.. and believe me this was in strong glare this is in the harshest glare with the light coming through my window.. as you can see very little hue.. this is the only time it shows colour and only to this 10 mil. pix camera .. to the naked eye it just looks like there is no crystal attached to the watch and actually tazz.. your pics are incredible and the pic where you cannot see any tint.. you also cannot tell if there is a crystal also the genuine on this piece (Chopard) is also single AR not double as it would not be possible with this type of crystal.. it is a 2 piece crystal and the cyclops is sanwiched in between the 2 ... you cannot double AR it.. the genuine may be of better quality .. but it does not "glow" with tint.. the older generation AR might.. but now the look is just .... No Crystal... If it weren't for the cyclops it would be hard to see the crystal.. I also had to work the angle to get the hue.... but it is a nice single as is the genuine..

Following dluddy's lead with the IWC Laureus

Anybody experience a "Killer April fool's Joke" or played one on some unsuspecting "fool" Gotta be a few floating around..??? for me what started on April 1st.. ran a good 3 months.. One of our Golfing fouresome was a Army Ranger Drill Instructor... (Retired).. African American.. tough as Nails.. macho .... still marches when He walks.. kind of guy... he would not listen to or even want to hear the word "Gay" or about equating derogatory remarks as being equated to Rascism... so on april 1st after a round of 18 ...(we have been known to play 36)... My buddy and I excused ourselves.. went into the parking lot and attached "Gay Pride stickers" to the Bumper of his car.. now these just look like stickers in the colours of the Rainbow.. which is a trademark of the islands.. for the next 3 months he couldn't understand why ... at times when he pulled up to a stop light a male would pull up beside him and "greet" him with a very strange smile or "look".. male couples would "waive" to him.. he could not figure it out... Until one day after our round.. he was so perplexed .. My buddy and I could not contain ourselves and through our laughter explained what started out as a April Fools Joke .. was kept on going .... i never ran so fast from the clubhouse ... laughing my head off.. he had his 7 iron in hand .. in hot pursuit.. my buddy went the opposite way.. and since he thought .. It must be me that planned this.. (and it was)... he was yelling..MF'er ... ... I don't think I cured him of his Homophobia... but it was funny ... Care to share your April Fools.. and where did this tradition start if anyone knows...??

I do believe that you may have gotten the old spitfire and not the laureus.. check with Joshua and see what you ordered.. Edit Add: the laureus does not come in black ... blue.. and the white is no longer listed..no black in this model..

U should of asked us .. your amongst .. friends... .... we evolved from 4 legged to walking upright.. i was thinkin there are some that equate wrist size to shoe size ... shoes need to fit.. wilst I have a .. 4EEEE width.. ... finding shoes can be a problem.. Hands = Feet .. different limbs .. watches can be BIGGER.... MP.. it's "I hate You All"

I think we have about the same wrist size ... I realize that the lugs are outside of my wrist... maybe it's you just "think" it's supposed to match the size of your wrist ... no need to be self concious about it .. yours looks fine..We need an amendment on that stupid rule of lug vs. wrist size

Wonder who set that norm about the lug vs. wrist size.. if that's the case a large portion of the population should have the fashion police alerted... didn't the big watches start out with pocket watch movements and not just to fit those with Neandertahal limbs??? nothing against people with pituatary gland problems

I have the Blue and the white dials.. don't recall a black Laureus... can you post pics of your's ?? the AR on these reps are not the high quality like the makers of the HBB... Graham...Paul Picot... etc. ... the AR on the Laureus is more like a tint in nature .. it reflects more than absorbs light .. ergo you are going to get a very .. very blue look to the dial. when strong light hits the crystal it will be a very shinning blue "reflection" .. and not the plum hue of the higher quality AR's I have not seen a Black dial Laureus as a rep.. is this the latest release ?? if you live in EU . you can send the entire watch to k2222 (Jakub) and he will redo the AR.. to genuine quality..

You know what MP.. IMHO it looks ok on your wrist.. I really don't think any of the "Big Watches" were meant to be equal in size to one's wrist.. sheesh the genuine companies would never sell them all... I think this fact is overlooked.. seems like people equate watch size to wrist size... i think the "oversized" is meant to be just that.. and not to alway's fit into the diameter of one's wrist... or maybe it's a macho Freudian thingi... This is going to be a banner year for reps being made from genuine samples so don't worry I'm sure there will be more than enough to choose from.. count on it !!!!

I got the Sigma EX DG Macro for Nikon.. todaythe Nikon macro for the d60 is not out yet and will be 900 usd.. fully automatic the Sigma is manual focus.. but about 400 usd... i took some pics with it today.. but it will get better.. I did not use my tripod.. so the shots are a little blurred.. still working on the setting for the d 60 just got it a week ago.. but i am sure I'll be happy with the Sigma... I like it .. not only for detailed up close shots .. but for shots from 1 meter away also..

All it really took was my friend at the camera shop to go over ISO and F-stop functions.. putting it in real time explanation for me made it all common sense.. if I can do it.. (this was my first attempt) at lighting and manual settings.. your dog can do it...

I alway's wanted the classic portugese chrono but the problematic sub seconds @6 kept me from acquiring it .. so now that the Portofino has been released as a replication.. I pulled the trigger .. I decided on the silver dial for the concentric ring definition in the subs and I really like the silver dials.. the silver gold dial sort of was too much contrast for the classic look.. IMO.. the black is nice looking also.. ahhhh choices.. the Genuine the silver ss dial

@subz.... it's hard to compare the two,.. they are totally different dials but I have the latest version and I am really happy with it also.. but the new replication of the GT XL LE .. well,.. the only fault I can find..(with a loupe) is the sub dial rings are milled a little on the rough side.. but that is viewing with magnification.. nuff said the replication A7750 I like the simplicity of this dial also.. the only thing that it needs is a S. lume and a full service on the movement.. ziggy makes this A7750 just as good as the ETA 7750.. no noise on the rotor after the servicing.. the lume on both is fairly good but the genuine is Super lumed.. edit:add.. the pics above were last years models.. not the newly released rep..
