Porsche Desing Flat Six 6341 Limited Edition
lanikai replied to triunfadorazo's topic in Other Brands Area
should be 3 to 4 months.. sometime during the summer.. -
Not defending anyone here.. what the young men ..... some not even at legal drinking age or voting age.. but deemed old enough to kill and die for whatever political motives the leaders of countries decide are in the best interest of freedom... what they go through in foreign lands where they see body parts of guy's that just yesterday were laughing and living. well i am not here to judge these soldiers cause no one can feel what they feel unless you experience it yourself .. it's totally crazy .. I just hope they can survive better than a lot of vets who were in Vietnam.. and came back applauded as "baby killers".. when they didn't want to be there to begin with..

Porsche Flat 6 / Grey Dial
lanikai replied to lanikai's topic in The Two R's Watch Reviews - Lani & Ubi
According to the collector who supplied the genuine in the pic.. they tried to replicate the "hue" in the crystal to the genuine.. in this pic you cannot see the colour of the AR in the replicated version but in actuality it pretty much resembles the genuine in real life, there is more of the "hue" in person.. if the maker double AR'd it it would be too strong as opposed to the genuine @ Andreww..yes the grey does remind me very much of the colour that Porsche had on their 356 series in the 60's it was a dark grey and enthusiast still replicate that colour on restored or "kit" cars.. and silver being Germany's Racing colour.. the dials are nicely done.. @samurai.. don't know about the all black version.. that would be one I would definately want.. -
Hey pzeus.. the bezel should not be a concern.. as to which colour is my favourite .... ..... ... yes...all of them

that's jsmiths .. pics of Kauai.. one of my favorite neighbor islands ...black sand beaches.. volcano stuff... vog just cleared up.. over the islands... sends your sinuses into a serious hurt ...Imagine though those places on kauai have been untouched forever The HK tan antique gator is incredible.. i will try it on the black dial for a wrist check.. he made me a antique gator for my UPO. still need to get the buclke from ofrei though ... his colour on the antique gator is hard to beat.. i like them over the genuines actually...

After wearing the Graham CF for a while it would feel like you really don't want that lever to be locked tight .. as in rests on part of your forearm a little looseness is more comfortable .. believe it or not .. but as I stated earlier that is not a plain allen bolt, it appears to be a star allen so the regular allens won't fit.. they will actually damage you bolt.. if you are intent on getting it really tight .. as i stated in the thread that samurai linked.. go to the craft store and you can get what is tiny round confetti (they are made of aluminium) that has holes in them and use that as a shim,.. they have it in all colours ..placed on the underside of the lever inbetween the bolt and the arm it secures the lever tightly.. i did it but found that it was too tight and when my arm moved .. well i rather have a little play in it.. when I actually wear it.....that's just my preference though..

yes Lello DW.. it looks a little off due to the angle of the pic .. but believe me it is squared nicely.. I was rushing to get the pic taken .. getting dark ..here I am literally joyful at the accuracy.. the aestetics is one thing but how many times do our movements in the chronos keep time like this ??

an update on my Ziggy servicing of my A7750 .. no tricks over 72 hours continuous and the time as set by my blackberry is pretty much spot on .. and no I am not promoting Ziggy .... I am just so amazed at the accuracy that I had to post..

just relaying what i did with my SOSF.. i dont have "nails" .... maybe you should get in touch with Andrew.. for a while there were a batch of UPO's where the logo was crooked.. maybe these are a batch with defective tube/crowns..
-
I had the same problems on all my SOSF's .. the threads needed to be seated... I kept working it .. but you need to back it up if it really feels stuck.. then apply pressure inward at the same time you are turning it...go really slowly.. my thumbs were numb.. but the screw downs work really well now.. i had some watch oil put on the threads too.. but maybe you better post this on the watch repair and upgrade area.. I am no expert.. but there are those there that can help.. add on: I had to use my finger nails to turn it ... it had more grip with the nail ends of my fingers.. for more torque until the threads were seated.. if that helps..
-
did you try pushing the crown in again while tightening??

How to Fix Graham Chronofighter Wobbly Lever
lanikai replied to Samurai's topic in Other Brands Area
the allen screws seem to be 'star' allens.. try tightening these first... be very careful the heads can be disfigured easily on these.. you will need two allens and remember like bolts ... it is not how hard you turn them but the pressure you apply.. steady .... loosen them first then tighten... and look at the thread below... find what I did to mine to tighten it.. just gentle pressure with a jewelers pliers.. and keep in mind that once it is on your wrist it will not wobble so you do not need to have it extrememy locked down.. as it rests on your forearm good luck http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=67030 i removed 80 percent of the looseness by compresing the lever with a jewelers pliers not to bend it..just light pressure on the arms of the lever,..(quote from the above thread)
