Quality/Price difference between two Breitling Black Birds
lanikai replied to geneticlone's topic in The Breitling Area
What the new BB version delivers is nice tabs.. the first version was riddled with misaligned tab issues.. I'll take an incorrect case back over the tabs.. it was mad to view .. and there was nothing you could do about it.. either the bezels cuts were off or the tab was cut so crooked .. the V3 looks really good.. mine is coming back from GZ with a new case set.., it's already been to Canada .. so hopefully it will be wearable.. Buying from Precious Time using Western Union
lanikai replied to Craig S's topic in General Discussion
Western Union is fine.. you will be given a receipt and you will need to email the MTC number to PT so he can pick up the money.. I prefer Moneygram though.. WU competition.. lower rates.. and lower if you go into a MG office.. here in Hawaii they are located in the Super Markets .. WU fee has gone up quite a bit in the last 12 months.. Some dealers like DSN take only WU or MG for payment.. they're all good though.. you won't be scammed by any of our dealers here.. AC/Lani -
You can go >Here to see all the models.. all dealers have these.. so the choice is yours AC/Lani

Ok.. looks like Admin is still working on the Newsroom.. there will be a sub forum for the staff to discuss and assemble each issue..access will be limited to the News Team and the "Newsroom" will be accessed to all. Admin is extremely busy now with his regular work load, family and the events of the New Yea, so patience.. We will add things like "Coming Attractions".. new releases to look forward to and plan..also.. our in house experts in brands..not for PM's but for questions relating to brands.. ie. Rolex, Panerai, Breitling, Tag, Omega.. Tools, Clothing and accessories..to be posted in the proper forums. If dealers want us to post specials.. that will be available.. all this will be linked to the issue that is posted here.. and all back issues will stay posted in the Newsroom forum. it will eventually be an all encompassing issue that can be accessed for all.. and especially for those who are too busy to browse the forum for a couple hours to find what they need..those who just don't have the time and go MIA. We are reaching out to those members.. as long as they are registered here and choose not to block email from RWG.. they will have ongoing info to their hobby.

A Bezel Aging Science Experiment / Science Lesson
lanikai replied to redwatch's topic in The Rolex Area
Immersing it in Salt water would take a very, very long time to produce result.. the reason I say this is H2O has a certain amount of oxygen, but not enough to oxidize the insert to the point of discoloration, you may throw some "oxyclean" in the solution to see what results you obtain.. that may accelerate the fading of the insert...I'm going to try that on a insert .. after I "kick" start it with Clorox... the aim is to get the insert to fade as it would in a time span of 20 years.. that in and of itself may be hit and miss with each insert, as I have found that some are doable and others are uneven in the colour once you fade them. (wolesaleoutlet) selss "greay" bezels that are supposed to resemble the vintage look... I need to get a sample and see what it looks like. this is my results > Here the sun is the final stage and it is still fading on my car dash.. -
+1 gotta go with the fact that if it is intended as a dress watch the case and crystal should be re polished, either by a professional jeweler or if you have the necessary tools to do it yourself..a nice fresh strap adds to the look also me thinks.. regardless.. congrats on the new acquisition.. looks great AC/Randy
