Trevor had them for real cheap, not sure if has has any stock but its worth asking.

In an open maket system, reduced competition increases prices because there is no competitor creating a monopoly, they can ask a higher price. Where as competition increases competition in prices also in order to get the sale. Increased competition will also increase quality as they try to outdo each other with better products to get the sale.

I have seen many people state that their Omega SMP chronos and breitling Super Avengers and regular Avengers are fine. I used to have an Avenger and it was fine for swimming. So just because its a chrono doesn't mean its no good. Only way to be sure is to test really

I have a 7.5 inch wrsit which I think just pulls off a super avenger, if your under 7 inches it may be too big. But the good news is if you have a small wrist I recomend the regular Avenger (formerly called Skyland avanger), which is an awesome watch, I had the grey dial. It is basically a slightly smaller version of the SA, but still a large watch at 45mm. Highly recomend this, and they have come down quite a bit in price lately, I got mine for 300 bucks back in the day I have seen them selling for $205 from a certain dealer! Bargain, price for an amazing watch! Stealing Bytors pic here, look at this beauty will ya!

BCE is the chronomate evolution. It seems to be between that model and the Super Avenger, some reports actually say the Super Avenger is their best seller, some BCE. Breitling source they said that SA is best seller and thats why they are hard to see at an AD, always sold out.

I was recently talking to a guy who WANTED a rep, didnt know muc about watches thou, so I educated him. The fact is, I would rather buy raps because they are actually great value for what you get, forget the name thats on it for a second. They are constructed and engineered like the gens, but minus the strict quality control, so your getting a lot of bang for buck. The friend had an armani watch, said it cost 600 bucks, I supressed a laugh, said that thing would have cost about 20 bucks max to make, its just a case with an electric motor in it. Really made me realise that by cutting out the middleman (retail) we are getting great value. I dont think I will ever buy an off the shelf watch again unless it is really specialised or gen of my rep, last off the shelf I got was a polar watch because of the heart rate monitor. TLDR, for the money we spend, I would much rather the reps we get than what gen you can get at the same price.

Never been called out, but have been honest about it to people who have asked. I got complimented by what I found out to be another watch nut, I was honmest and said its a rep, he just laughed and said never admit it!, it looks great! was a great guy that just loved watches wasn't judgmental about it. I was wearing an IWC bigpilot, 15 grand watch, and in my line of work and age, its not very convincing for someone who knows how much they cost.

Not sure about the rep scene, but from breitlings AD's the SA is one of their best sellers. The BCE is their absolute top seller i hear.

Well the New Super Avenger Blackteel was recently released by the H factory, which made the V2, which had a proper case not this 3 piece [censored] that the V3 has. The new H factory blacksteel version looks excellent, great dial and perfect lume markers that are superlumed! Rumor is that they are going to release the regular versions soon, which makes sense because its just another set of dials on the same case only polished. I imagine its taking longer because they have to make all the different dial combination's unlike the Blacksteel which is only 1 dial. When they are released, I anticipate that V3 prices will drop, because it will clearly be the inferior of the 2.

you guys are really pushing my limits dammit, those pics are tempting me far far too much considering my current financial situation!

didnt watch it beyond 5 minutes, too much hipster douchbaggery for me to stand. and plus it was more about him than anything else, was poorly made, got sick of seeing his kid. I mean when he interviewed his kid about the situation it was the last straw, this is an insult to journalism and the documentary genre as a whole. Where are his subject experts? its just images with his annoying voice over. it reminded me of zeitgeist, a backyard job with selective facts and no real substance.

Just ordered a Bentley 6.75 Big Date Blue SS from Andrew
opti replied to Texas1999's topic in The Breitling Area
nah, I got it with the rep leather. I have since got a Brietling speed bracelet for it though. Rep leather looks ok, but ultimately sux. Best to get an aftermarket leather, only problem is then you don't get a Breitling buckle, or deployant. I really need some breitling buckles if anyone can help btw. -
sweet, cant wit to see it, really impressed with the H factory SA's, saving my pennies

Ok, who wants to start updating the replica guides?
opti replied to By-Tor's topic in General Discussion
there are a lot of great reviews around, I think just updating the links and adding them into the guide would be a great way to update them with not too much time required. -

So my rep assolutamente came today .. how do I soften it a bit
opti replied to Jkay's topic in General Discussion
what I do with new straps is to just run them under warm water and then put the watch on for the next couple of hours, moulds into shape MUCH quicker, and its only water. -

Holy [censored] that Dial is hot! -
First mistake is pretty blatant, its has Chronograph ethced on the case back when it clearly isn't. They seem to be using the same case back as the chrono version they released earlier

gonna second a recomendation for a SInn, either the U1 or U2 (I have the U2) Once you have one inyour hands you can really apprecate the beautiful design, and the BEST AR I have ever seen rep or gen (there is a review floating around, comparing with a Gen, and the AR on the rep was far superior to the gen!!!)

I was meeting with somone at work, and he spotted my bigpilot, and he said wow, your watch is worth more than my car! Im a young guy (early 30's), he is atleast twice my age, I just laughed and said, no it isnt, its not a genuine. He just laughed and said, you should never admit it! We had a great chat about watches, turned out he was a watch nut also. If your gonna lie, you better be convincing, a guy my age wearing a 15grand watch, doing the job I do, it wont fly.

What is it with the wall clocks around the wrist
opti replied to gasebah's topic in General Discussion
min 42mm for me, or it just deosnt feel right, and 47mm max. I have a 7.5 inch wrist, so larger watches look more masculine and anything under 40mm looks like a ladies watch....
