The 1680 with faded bezel is all original and in "as found" condition. Only serviced once, it is a 5.3 serial.
No evidence of ever having a polish. The 9315 bracelet was torn up and really only scrap. I pieced some rep parts to put it back together but it is non functioning.
Selling the head for $3500.00.
Well, When I am done with this one. i figure market value will be around $900-$1000.00
Figure: Gen 9315 Bracelet, Gen crystal, gen insert, gen crown, gen tube, slow beat Gen eta serviced, DW overlay, Shape the case and CG's, gen spring bars(Drill out to accept).
$1000.00 may be a little low now that I think about it......
They do. In fact, some of the high end reps have very nice 703 crown/tube combo's like TC's 16610. I put a Gen crown on his tube and it works very well.
If the stem is too long it will prevent the crown from screwing all the way down. Forcing it could damage the keyless and cause the movement to stop. Trim your stem and enjoy the watch.
Careful. You need a tube with the threads at the base for a 702 crown and with the threads at the opening for a 703 crow. Length has nothing to do with it............that's what she said.

Sad to see any watch of value scrapped for metal content. i have a few 18kt and 14kt watches that will remain watches even though at times, we are looking under the cushions to make ends meet.
