  1. Up for sale on TZ......open to offers :-)
  2. Pure Sexiness. I am enjoying this Vintage 1680:
  3. Enjoying a gen 1680 all original including 702 crown/tube and 9315 bracelet with 380 endlinks(Bracelet is in need of repair so rocking a Hirsch Liberty leather strap. Meanwhile, back in the jungle:
  4. Correct and rate adjustments should be made at half wind as well perhaps giving the lower amplitude rate. I wouldn't trust dealers for a service. I would buy knowing that Zig or another competent watchmaker would need to give it a once over.
  5. The tool TC shows works well for Bezel removal. The ring should be removed using a case knife working it uder and slowly around until it lifts off.
  6. Aren't we all rep geeks? Welcome.
  7. I guess I will either sell it.......or find a Gen 3135 and dial for it :-)
  8. That's what I thought. I have never had an issue lining up a dw overlay. I have a pretty good track record and what I thought were bullet proof techniques.Guess I am too old for the new stuff......
  9. Interesting. Why so? I doubt the eta dw is bad as it worked just fine yesterday. I swear, I used every trick I can think of. Perhaps the printing was off on this overlay. I centered it 31 times and fitted it perfectly on the eta dw and about 5-7 days don't line up.
  10. Datewheel was fin in my ceramic sterile sub from whence it came..... Anyone got a spare overlay? I can get another 2824 dw. Thanks.
  11. I sanded down the eta dw and have a spacer. It only aligns for 80% and then goes into half cycle. All with the dial off. It will be on the sales corner soon. Anyway, build specs: Genuine ETA 2824 Bucherer Chronometer movement serviced and regulated to +3 secs/day Gen Crystal New Gen Insert New Gen Crown and tube New TC case, dial, hands, spacer, [censored] Overlay, bracelet and bezel assembly. Have a great weekend all.....and Rejoice!
  12. Yeah well, I have had many gens and thought I would jump on the TC wagon. I used the alignment marks, I used a slow set epoxy, I set reset, tore apart, reset, cycled through.....I hate this effing watch. I can't wait to get my MBW......
  13. Point me in the right direction. Pictures of my piece of [censored]:
  14. Yeah, spent 2 hours doing just that and I have given up....no dates RULE.
  15. O.k., so I got the gen crystal installed, the gen insert installed but I have about had it with the dw overlay. I have centered it on the old wheel and lined up and centered the number in the window.......but not all dates center and it seems the dates are off a half click. Anybody have a dw with overlay they want to sell? I'll make it worth your effort:-)
  16. My Gen Crystal and gasket are too big for my TC 16610/ The crystal and gasket just spin(easily) when installed and I can't press the retetion ring into place. Am I stupid.....don't answer that. Any help appreciated.
  17. Wearing this: and this: While fixing this:
  18. The valjoux movement needs to be set with the hands moving clockwise and the slack in the gears will track. If you set it like an eta(counter-clockwise) it will take that minute for the slack to be taken up. Some valjoux's will need a 30 sec. advance when setting the CCW. Bugs the [censored] out of me.
  19. Notice the date placement? Nice watch size at 42mm. Valjoux movement. I'll post some movement pics later tonight.
