  1. Well thank you.....I think so as well.
  2. So true......I saw a watch for sale on a vntage Rolex Forum that was exactly like mine. Pointed Cg's, 1560 movement, 93150 band and a service replacement dial and hands. Asking price?.......$6,000.00. And here is one for $9,000.00 without a band and with a 1530 movement: http://xxx.network54.com/Forum/207673/mess...+Papers+REDUCED ( Replace x's with www ) I guess my build looks better every second......to me I guess that is a better value than the one I built......not!
  3. C'mon Nuq, it's boobs, not Bobs......sheesh. BTW, the snobs are above reproach. I spend more time here amongst friends ( and boobs )as well.
  4. Please.........no apology needed as no offense was taken. I have been called or referred to as much worse than "boob".....and that was by family members.
  5. LOL! Do you really think the "Rolex" guys really care about the lowly Tudor. Note: it is referenced as a project watch
  6. Thanks Chief. In fact, I have made a few posts and responded to others in regards to "fakes". An elitist view of " I spent more" because it is real amuses me. A watch is a watch. Most keep time, many keep very good time. Now, if you represent a Rep as real and try to sell it as real....well, that would be a "boob" imho.
  7. You are correct......It's a good thing I didn't build it for anyone but me It also explains why I hang out here more than there
  8. Well, you are correct about the pics as they are mine. The poster asked if anyone assembled a Rolex from parts gathered from many sources including *bay. Everything on my watch is genuine Rolex except for the NDT case ( NDT is a big *bay seller). As for the moerators on TZ, the post is still there and no one seems to be insulted by my craftsmanship.
  9. Mistake? Are you kidding? Awesome job as usual.
  10. Great watch and as usual, a The Zigmeister masterpiece.....but, am I missing the Pointed CG's? I see the Gen pic for comparison, but am I missing the modded piece with Pointed CG's? BTW, mine says hello.........and a dial and hands will be on the way to the Zigster for a little "treatment"' Wear it in good health.
  11. Insert the washer into the bezel assembly first ( it should seat in an inverted cone position), then place the assembly over the crystal and press into place.
  12. Oh you mean my ........Watch Dog....get it... Glad he brightened your day but sad it needed brightening.
  13. Thanks to all. I will post movement shots when I break it down to clean it and replace the crystal. The finishes and case styling have really caught my eye. I haven't taken it off yet.
  14. Not yet. It has great amplitude and is keeping very good time as per the machine and my wrist. Besides, I need a little one on ine time before I send it off....
  15. I am very fortunate. I think the design and layout is classic and timeless....keep searching. You just never know.
  16. Venus 188 serviced only once in the late 50's. Movement: Case: Bonus watches.....'cause he's cool..... Comments always welcomed.
