  3. here's my daily beater for the time being until i can afford a nice rep...
  4. i brought it when i took a placement on my degree i was earning what felt like mega bucks at the time (£22k) and had little to no outgoings. a year later and i [censored] away all my money and was back at uni for my final year and reached my overdraft limit so she had to go. i start working full time again in september, so lots of watches for me once more i have well and truly been bitten by the watch bug
  5. I no longer have this beauty, however, i thought i'd post the pics of her up on here to help people compare their reps to the genuine article. excuse the poor camera work, but hey, at least you know they haven't been 'photoshopped'
  6. i had a genuine moon watch, stunning, bit annoyed i had to sell it but i have lots of pics to bring back memories lol.
  7. wow, what a stunning watch, wear it well!! !noob question alert! is the watch a gen? what is a DW? Is it something high end like an MBW?
  8. my filthy mind was drifting towards "[censored] in her hand" i need to get some better porn
  9. [censored] in 'er 'and love it it even has a kind of Yorkshire twang about it
  10. ah, ok, it would appear another newbie was been owned. i hang my head in shame hehe i certainly wouldnt want a rep with ticking hands, eugh. case closed.
  11. i was under the impression that you could get quartz with sweep second hands, would this still make the clicking sound you refer to?
  12. Now I'm very much a newcomer to the whole rep game, in fact, i've not yet brought one as I have no spare cash until September, but I have been perusing these forums regularly over the past few weeks. What I fail to see the point of, is that in watches like the Seamaster, why people wish to have movements as close to the genuine one as possible. I don't claim to be a movement expert of any degree but wouldnt a standard quartz movement, which moves in the same way, be far more reliable and a better timekeeper, and thirdly much cheaper. Nobody would know the movement was quartz unless they opened it up, and upon opening would more than likely see that it is not a genuine straight away anyway if a replica movement was installed. Perhaps i'm into reps for different reasons as the rest of you, i see it as purely an aesthetic thing, which as long as it looks and acts the same(within the realms of being a rep), i'm happy with it. Any opinions?
  13. fair enough, i think the warranty on the waterproofing is prob worth $30-40 at least to somebody, especially if it will be replaced with a brand new piece.
  14. photos look nice, but i can't really see the pearl in those shots, we need some more macro ones going on. *edit* just seen the pics on his main site. on a price point of view, 400 dollars for a sub seems quite high, unless it really is 'perfect'
  15. if more proof were ever needed, this watch clearly shows that money cannot buy class.
  16. stunning watch... wear her well i need a pam 111h in my life, just need to get some cash lol, damn being a student...
  17. Breitlings are not to my taste so i would personally sell it. Perhaps with the proceeds buy a nice second hand gen, and spend the rest on reps. Best of both worlds.
  18. The biggest terrorist in the world is sat in the white house, and i'm pretty sure Dubya doesn't have his fingers in the replica watch pie. In my opinion of course.
  19. hahaha, i'm literally crying with laughter at that! [censored]in' A man!
  20. who did you buy the PAM from in the first place? that is essentially the very watch i'm looking for. awesome work on the strap btw.
  21. wow, what an awesome insight into what goes on. i always wondered why the omega services were so expensive, now i know why.
  22. sounds familiar, you into over'clock'ing by any chance?
